Showed up looking for Golf Sport wagon TDI which I saw online. No one came out to help us. Clearly saw a few sales people doing nothing inside. Had to go get my own. Test drive was fine. Guy didn't even ask me for my license. Tells me the TDI's are selling like freaking HOT CAKES. They can't keep them for a second. Clearly was new and inexperienced. But, hey everyone has to start somewhere.

Here is where it gets bad. We get back to go talk numbers. Kid uses KBB to get the trade in value of my Pristine 2014 BMW 328i M Sport with all the upgrades. Misses a bunch of stuff and comes in like 2 Grand less than what its range is. I correct him on that. Then we get into the TDI. Tells me this is the price etc. keep In mind this price they have listed on the website is $2,000 above the highest KBB value. I know kbb is not the end all be all on price. Don't worry I looked at least 4 websites to come in educated.

He pulls KBBs wagon up and boom there is the price much less. Kids jaw drops to the ground. I give my price. $1,500 more than the lowest price. HERE IS WHERE IT REALLY GETS BAD.

The manager who is a scumbag of a person named Casey sits down after the kid ran away to him. Must have had me sitting for 15 minutes. Casey goes on to tell me that he won't give me what I want for my BMW. What I wanted it for was $1,000 off the lowest KBB value. But when I try to get the price down for the VW he says hahaha no. There is no negotiation with that price. That's the old days. In a very rude and condescending voice in front of my wife and child.

So let me get this right. My BMW is not worth what KBB has it valued at. It is worth less because he is scared of it. But your VW can't be touched and is worth 2 grand more than what KBB has it as. Okay pal.

Goes on to tell me he is SCARED of my car. I thought this man was a professional car salesman. My BMW is gonna be too hard to sell. Tells me he called Thompson BmW and got the price they would pay (Thompson never saw the car, who knows if he called and what info on my car he gave). I'm sorry buddy but just because you are scared of trying sell a car doesn't make it worth any less. Now he's really getting frustrated. I show him what his car is worth etc. tells me that's not true. Goes to cargurus website and prints out all the wagon TDI to show how his price is correct. Sorry pal but I saw on the print out you filtered the search results. Showing only what he wanted. Scummy. I make one last attempt tell him how car has been sitting here for 2 months. These things are selling like hot cakes I thought. The Manual WagonTDi he said they can't keep them long enough. But car fax showed the car had been sitting for 2 months. He said no not true. Pulled up the car fax and what do you know. Caught him in a lie. Car Fax said they got the car 59 days ago on the lot.

His next lie was the best. Tells me VW only just started allowing him to post the TDIs online to the website a week ago. But low and behold I caught him lying again and called him out on it. Cargurus website which is open to the public to find cars to buy. Showed the car had been listed on the website for 59 days. But he could only list it a week ago? Lies. What a scum of man. Continues talking down to me. Tells me to leave and buy some place else because he is not going to do anything for me.

Went to Fred Beans Devon VW and picked up my TDI wagon from them. Experience was night and day. Gave me my asking for the Bmw and got $1,500 of the Tdi. Fix paint and dent work for free.

Casey is a scum of a man and the model for used car salesman. Worst part is he is the manager at Dtown. Great leadership they have there. The man has no integrity what so ever. Very unprofessional. Will never shop there again let alone recommend anyone to them.

Man must not have been used to an educated well composed military man...

I have had a truly terrible experience with this dealership. In the end, they made everything right (so i think). It started two years ago, I had a sunroof squeak. I brought it in, a month later it was determined that the sunroof frame needed to be replaced. A few weeks later, I get the car back and discovered the headliner was broken underneath the visor clips. I brought it back, they replaced the headliner, and I get the car back and the A pillar trim is popping off. I bring it in, they replace the trim. I later discover a rattle noise which I heard since I picked it up from the headliner replacement, but discovered it was coming from a clip that hadn't been installed correctly when the headliner was replaced. I let it go because it was too much of a hassle to deal with bringing it back. Last October I brought the car in for a state inspection, when I got the car back I was driving down the highway and the car started to shake. I pull over and discover the technician didn't torque the wheel bolts correctly after pulling the wheels off to do the state inspection. The time before this, the dealer tightened the bolts so much that they stripped the wheel lock, and now I get the car back and the wheel is almost falling off because they aren't tight enough. How unbelievably stupid is that? I deemed I would never go back to Fred Beans, so I took the car elsewhere to get the headliner clip fixed because my warranty is almost up. I took it to Cherry Hill VW who was very understanding and welcoming to me, but unfortunately wouldn't touch the car because the headliner issue was a craftsmanship issue and not a warrantable item. SO, I reluctantly bring the car back to Fred Beans. I drop the car off on Thursday April 3rd for two bent wheels to be repaired, and to have the headliner clip reinstalled. How hard can that be? I find out they were able to put the clip in (they tried to blame the clip on me, saying my dash camera caused it which THEY were the ones to last touch the wiring for when they replaced the headliner), but they had to order the A pillar trim because it couldn't be reinstalled and per VW must be replaced. A week later the A pillar trim comes in, and I am told "everything is all set! but the technician broke the headliner so we will be ordering you a new one". So okay, everything is NOT set. You now are telling me that yet again, you broke my headliner. I am furious at this point. Anyways, I write this today Thursday April 24th, three whole weeks after dropping my car off, having just picked up the car. I have zero confidence in the quality of work this dealership performs. I also don't have confidence in the ethics of the people working there. In the repair order, it says "the headliner was sagging, a clip was broken so we are replacing it", rather than admitting that their technician is the one who BROKE the headliner YET AGAIN, and quite literally lied to VW to get the repair covered under warranty instead of them being liable for the costs. The service advisor even told me "we didn't put all the details on the repair order because if we did it wouldn't be covered under warranty". While I am happy to finally have my car back, I am upset with how this all happened. My car has probably sat at this dealer for a solid 3+ months of my ownership, all because they aren't able to fix shit the first time. Every time I get my car back from them, something is wrong. I will never, ever, EVER be returning to this dealership and will NOT recommend any of my friends to go here. I love my GTI, but the dealership experience has completely ruined the brand for me. I cannot recommend a VW with any confidence to any of my family or friends, and It is all because of my experience with...

Since I received 3 surveys via e-mail I figured I'd round this out with a Google review. My first experience with Service, after a less than fun purchasing experience, was awful. I called because I had condensation in my back left tail light (which btw is out now), my Apple Car Play was glitchy and there is a whistling sound coming from the driver's side door when I'm driving, like the seal isn't right. She was pleasant enough and said come by we'll take a look. She came out, said since there is no condensation in there right now, there wasn't any to begin with, it's "science". She told me the Apple Car Play is a new product so there will likely be some glitches, I probably just need to do an update on my iPhone. The seal on my door, she didn't see any issue (apparently you can see these issues versus someone that is driving it everyday 50 miles a day who hears it) so if I could record it while driving and send it to her e-mail address so they could take a listen.

Now I brought my car in last week for service because my tail light is out, there is a recall and I needed an oil change prior to going on vacation. I get a call that it's not a bulb, it's a piece, or a set, whatever it is, that needs to be replaced and they will have to order the part. It will likely be in Monday they'll give me a call and I can come in, will take 15 minutes. Fine, I get it... However, no complimentary loaner cars, so I have to take the incomplete car, and come back when the part is in. I get it a bit a dramatic but it's a lease, the miles will add up eventually.

I received no call on Monday or Tuesday. So I called this morning only to find out the part hasn't arrived and they aren't sure when it will be in. Again I get it in this world of chaos things happen, however a phone call maybe? The gentleman I spoke to this morning said I'll give you a call back this morning or early afternoon with an update.... Okay 4:50 PM, parts close at 5 PM, no call. So I call, speak to a nice person on the phone, says they are tied up, she'll go check. I get a callback right away from a very nice guy who says the part should be in tomorrow I can come in at 9 AM.

To date my experience with Fred Beans has been nothing short of embarrassing for them and frustrating and in no way enjoyable for me. At this point I look forward to my lease ending so I can go back to the Keenan dealership down the road where they put the...
