Read moreThe coffee was decent. I didn't think it was great but it was better than most diners that you'd go to when getting breakfast. We were between cafe with soul and turning point and we chose to go here for breakfast. I had the soul sampler. I wish I had taken some photos of the food. I always think of it after the fact lol The French toast was huge. I know they had an offer on the menu to add strawberries, chocolate chips and such to the French toast at $1.00 each, but I wish they would've asked me if I wanted to add any of those. I want to be up-sold on my food and it would make sense for the restaurant and the waitress in order to make extra money. Eggs are hard to mess up, but some places still do, these eggs were pretty good, I would say they were above average. The eggs weren't greasy or overcooked, A++. The sausage links were pretty much what you expect for breakfast, same for the home fries -diner quality. I didn't think anything was excellent, but I would place the food and especially the coffee above your average "diner" type breakfast food. Hence the 4 stars. I think the bang for your buck is there. You get your money's worth in my opinion....
Read moreI noticed Cafe with Soul as a new restaurant on DoorDash and decided to give it a shot and I am SO freakin’ happy I did. I think I have ordered from there 5-6x in the last week (a lot of takeout/delivery in this household LOL).
I am super weird about food textures, smells, etc. especially with meat (was a vegetarian for many years and now eat minimal meat but the slightest “ick” factor will make food inedible to me). I am currently eating half a patty melt and half a Buffalo chicken wrap and both are phenomenal. I have ordered the Buffalo chicken wrap several times and it’s always great. Burger is great too, which is saying a lot coming from me, since even the slightest weird smell/texture/appearance with a burger will make me feed it to my dogs rather than ingest it. I got the bacon on the side and it’s so crisp and delicious.
The only thing I have had that I didn’t love was the coleslaw but coleslaw is very subjective, haha - love some, hate others: depends on your preferred taste.
Btw, if you added more desserts, I’d be ordering those too, especially ones that travel well (in these COVID-y times when coming in to dine...
