Great Wall — Restaurant in Plumstead Township

July 24 2025 the gentleman that took our order did not speak good english. I don't how someone who has a business and has to deal with most of the time I assume people who speak english, had a hard time communicating with him. Ordered general tso with shrimp with walnut . Brown rice, Chinese vegetables in brown sauce, wonton soup. Not sure if the chicken was actually chicken the shrimp was large actually tasted descent . The brown rice???? Had to add soy sauce to eat it, the vegetables were definitely recooked more than once.the brown sauce didn't help, the wonton soup had real big chunks of what was suppose to be pork???? My husband and I ate some of the meal because we were feeling famished. I would not suggest eating there food again because I was sick....if you know what I mean... for 4 days now and Iam still not feeling good and my husband had a upset stomach also. There is no decent Chinese food restaurants in the area much less any that deliver. We have found Best Great Wall to be the exception. We order delivery from here at least 3 times a month. Their sauteed vegetable udon noodles are my favorite. The mango chicken is really good as well. Almost everything we've ordered from here has been good. Delivery was prompt and food hot and fresh when received. The other night was awful. We ordered Kung Pao chicken. I've never had it from here but every other place I've had it from the meat and vegetables are in a brown sauce with peanuts mixed through. What I got from here was coated and fried chicken pieces, no veggies, no sauce and peanuts thrown on top of meat. It was AWFUL, couldn't eat it. Stay away from their version on Kung...

Sorry but I've been spoiled by really good Chinese food over the years. Gotta tell you this was not worth it at all. I ordered the Happy Family that comes with Chicken, Beef, Lobster and Shrimp with Vegetables in a brown sauce. The Lobster which was still shelled was very fishy smelling and tasting...the Shrimp still had their tails on, and the crab meat was imitation!! The whole dish had a fishy taste....not very good veggies, mostly Asparagus but not the good part...just the stalks not so good for $14.00. Also, the white rice was so sticky and didn't seem to be fresh either. I was so very disappointed. This was my first time here...I will not be returning for sure. the other diners that ordered all agreed that they too did not like what they had or how it...
