I came here just recently to support a family member who was skating from out of town in a synchronized skating competition. The arena is large, with two rinks from what I could see. An issue that I had (and others as I looked around) with the venue was their choice to begin blasting cold air conditioning halfway through the competition. It was already colder than your normal skating arena, according to the mom of one of the skaters that I was chatting with. Then they turned on the air. Our hair was blowing in the wind and we had to put gloves and hats on in order to stay warm. People were moving to the stairs just to avoid being underneath the air conditioning fans. I did get up in between two of the performances and looked around for an employee of the arena, but unfortunately couldn't find anybody anywhere near the top of the stairs or by the door exiting out into the large hallway. If it weren't for this distracting hiccup, there...
Read moreThe following is a review ONLY of the driven in theater. I haven't been to the ice arena.............. . In the words of Bettie Davis........WHAT A DUMP. Unless you're sitting in the first few rows, forget about seeing much of the movie. Also, the "screen" looked like a giant bed sheet, replete with wrinkles. I couldn't tell if the female villain in "Iron Man 3" was supposed to be disfigured or if those were folds in the cloth. I shouldn't have called the screen "giant" anything since it was smaller than most indoor theaters, even while entertaining a LARGE parking lot. The food at the concession bar was OK but very expensive. They hand you a list of "don'ts" on your way in, which is fine, but curious by it's absence is "don't idle your engine all night" which apparently is fine with them (cough cough) The "bathrooms" (port-a-potties) have an odor reminiscent of Dante's ninth circle of hell. I kept tryin' to "rip one" if only to improve...
Read moreGreat place to see a drive in movie. Charges for the movie are per person in the vehicle not by the the vehicle. They do have double features . There are people who are inconsiderate with their headlights. MUST BRING A PORTABLE RADIO if attending that has AM/FM on it or you will drain car battery if you dont start it often and let it run to recharge battery. McDonald's is right next door. I wouldn't go here to see any dark movies as some of the parking lot lights were still on. Make sure to bring bug spray just in case of mosquitoes. Good place to take the kids or have a date night. Plus if a movie you really want to see better of in a theater or a real drive in. But for a drive-in tradition a...
