Chris Tidwell, CEO of Magformers, attempted to use Aspergers to insult my son today. Used it as an insult because he didn’t agree with the total he was given upon picking up his order at Pizza Hut. Seriously disgusting that a grown man thinks it’s okay and says things like “do you know who I am?” And “Do you have Aspergers ?” He somehow believes that who he is gives him permission to say things like this. Autism is not an insult. Verbally assaulting teenagers working for minimum wage over $2 is not acceptable. #BOYCOTTMAGFORMERS
UPDATE: Chris called me, he stated he was innocent in all things negative. “He simply asked if he had Aspergers” “did not call him Autistic” He attempted to turn it around on me, wanting know why I am offended by this, do I have an issue with people with Autism. He could not see that the way he asked this was using it as an insult. I was calm and would not back down, so he said “DO YOU HAVE A HUSBAND I CAN TALK TO INSTEAD?” He was unhappy that I would not back down. He wants everyone to know that his actions were personal and should not reflect badly on his employees. To be fair, his employees did not make the comments. He was not willing to accept that what he said isn’t the problem, but the way he said it. He said that “he employs and is related to people with Aspergers” so it makes it okay to ask people if that’s what’s wrong with them if they do not respond to him the way he thinks is...

Turned out one of the ladies was the customer service person and never even said hello. And when I asked a question I got a very gruff answer. My son wanted to buy some Magformers to add to his collection. I would rather buy online than reward poor customer service...
