I am seeing a lot of commonality in some of the negative reviews here. I will echo some of the same. 2 stars because the service was fast and friendly, but I will explain the issues I had below that many others are experiencing.
Shaun is friendly, addresses you by first name and is quick. This is about it for positive.
Issues:
First and foremost, PLEASE KEEP YOUR MASK ON! Especially when you are working in close proximity to people indoors.
As many others experienced, I wound up with one of my lines upgraded and an additional $50 per month device protection plan, even though I was very clear that I did not want ANYTHING additional. It seems this may be a money making technique for this location as they try to slip it in. Called verizon and had it squared away from their corporate customer service.
PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR PEOPLE'S PASSCODES WHEN SETTING UP A PHONE. My response was when I said I would rather put it in myself during the phone setup was "it's okay, you can tell me". A pin is private. Period. End of story.
I'd highly suggest letting people go through the setup of their own iPhones. It's extremely user friendly for a reason. For the sake of time, I think the reps like to do this as a "service" but it really should be addressed by the end user. Shaun breezed through my setup process and skipped a lot of things I would have normally done at setup (ie Apple wallet). When you don't migrate these things in the beginning, you need to go back and add cards and numbers again manually. This is an easy step to avoid.
Lastly, I am extremely disappointed that I was "required" to finance my phone. In no way, shape, or form are you required to finance a phone to receive a trade-in promotion credit from Verizon. You can buy a phone out completely with your old devices promotion (at least for the most recent iphone 13 promo). I will be buying the device out next billing cycle, but please stop misinforming your customers.
Unfortunately, I won't be back to this location. Really...
Read moreI went in with my wife to get her an Iphone and add her to my Verizon account (previously an AT&T customer).
They did not have a single Iphone on hand (which I thought was bizarre) and insisted that we allow them to order one. I was reluctant but, against my better judgement, agreed.
We called on 6/29 when the tracking said it was delivered (because of course they didn't call us like they said they would) and said they saw the delivered package, but that the "system was down" and that they would call us when it was back up. I know you're going to be shocked, but they never called us back....
When we stopped in on 7/1 to get the phone and add it to the plan, they told us they could not find it (even though they confirmed delivery 2 days prior over the phone). After they "triple checked" and called some 800 number, we were told that we would have to wait for some imaginary ticket to get resolved before we could even try to get the phone from somewhere more competent.
Here's the best part: They had Iphones in stock when we arrived on 7/1, but since we allowed them to order one previously, we could not get one unless it was the one we ordered. In short, we are stuck until this imaginary ticket is resolved and/if someone calls us back.
I am not really sure what this establishment exists to do since they have no inventory/inventory process, no authority to do anything on an account, or have any basic problem-solving ability. Please avoid this store and make the longer drive to a legit Verizon store, I sure...
Read moreYES FOLKS, ZERO STARS!!! (This review would be zero stars but Google made me chose a star rating to post this). Never go here!!! I don't usually go the Verizon Premium Retailers as I prefer a corporate owned Verizon Store. The store itself was nice enough and the store manager that helped me was as well. Then it all began, from trying to sell me overpriced accessories I didn't need to trying to convince me that all those items were going to FREE because I was trading in my phone. He was really just going to use my credit to pay for all the accessories. NOW HERE IT COMES...I left the the store feeling a little dirty from having dealt with this guy but I got what I wanted so no harm no foul, right? WRONG!!!! This jerk added insurance to my monthly plan and didn't say anything to me! I immediately called the store and told him what happened and he tried to convince me that "The computer, sometimes adds the insurance automatically". I've been a VWZ customer since the Bell Atlantic Mobile days (1996) and I've never had insurance accidentally put on my plan by the computer. What a joke! They must make a hefty commission by selling insurance. He also told me he would remove it right away and would call me if he couldn't. NO CALL AND NO INSURANCE WAS REMOVED. ENOUGH SAID, Go to a regular Verizon store (or Best Buy - I had a great experience buying a phone from them...
