Good stay. Great location. Budget friendly hotel. This hotel is about 30 to 35 minutes away from Philadelphia, depending on the traffic. The drive isn’t bad. There is a large shopping plaza right across the street from the hotel. This shopping plaza includes a grocery store. There are a few restaurants within the area. There is a Ruby Tuesdays restaurant right across from the hotel. It is within walking distance and located on site. There were pros and cons with our stay. Pros: Our room was very spacious. There were plenty of electrical outlets spread out within the room. Our king size bed was very comfortable. There are two large mirrors in the room. The fitness room has a peloton bike which was cool to use if you have never used one. I enjoyed using it. Counter service was helpful and responsive whenever we needed assistance. Room service for food is offered here. Cons: There was a bad smell in our room. I couldn’t tell what it was from. The upper rim of our toilet was not clean which grossed me out very much. Our shampoo dispenser was empty. The outdoor pool is very small. The carpets on the floors of the hotel did not seem to be cleaned on a daily basis. They were always dirty everyday I left the room. The elevators need to be updated. They trembled at times and run very slow. The laundry room was not clean. One of the housekeepers was playing music out loud from a speaker as she was cleaning. The music woke me up early. This can disturb other guests and should therefore not be allowed. For this situation, headphones should be encouraged to use, if permitted by the manager. Playing music out loud should not even be an option! All in conclusion, our stay was satisfactorily/good. I would recommend giving it a try.

This property does not reflect the standards I have come to expect from the Hilton family. I have stayed at this location before without issue, but my most recent visit was disappointing, with far too many things not working. A few inconveniences I could overlook, but this went well beyond that. Upon arrival, guests are greeted by a “ring the bell” sign and a plastic curtain due to remodeling. I understand the need for construction and do not fault them for that, but the staff member at the desk or behind the plastic lacked the warm, welcoming hospitality Hilton is known for. We had booked a King room but were told none were available, so we were placed in a room with two queen beds. Only one elevator was operational, and its floor clearly needed cleaning. When we reached our room on the second floor, it was in acceptable condition. Shortly afterward, the front desk called to say a King room had become available, so we moved to the fourth floor (that was nice). However, the ice machine on that floor was broken, requiring us to go back down to the second floor to get ice. These small inconveniences added up, making it feel like much of the hotel was either out of order or poorly maintained. While I understand the challenges of construction and remodeling, public areas should be cleaned once work ends for the day, and essential amenities should be in working order. The lack of upkeep and multiple service issues made for an experience that was far from warm and welcoming.

This hotel lacked in most ways. The first thing was the absolute horrendous smell, one type in the hallways, and another in the room. I had to go and buy air fresheners just to get through the night. The bathtub had hairs and other dirt inside of it, making me think that it hadn't been cleaned properly. The gym was probably the saddest thing I've seen, with a lone Peleton bike, a couple of weighted balls, and an exercise ball. There wasn't even a water station. Breakfast was OK, but both coffee containers were completely empty when I tried to get some, so I had to alert the staff and they went and made more, which took some time and I ended up having to leave before it was ready. Overall it was a pretty bad experience and I actually ended up checking out early and switching hotels, which is not something I almost ever do. This was also a bit weird as I asked the front desk about being able to get a refund on the last night if I checked out early, and they assured me I could, so I went ahead and booked another hotel. In the morning I discussed it again with the front desk as I was about to check out, and this time they basically told me that I wouldn't get a refund. I told them what had been said by the front desk agent the night before and that I had already booked another hotel for the night based on what she said. Finally they agreed and made the refund happen. It just felt pretty crappy and almost like they tried to bait and switch me. Luckily it worked out.

Let me first share this by saying that I am a hilton honors member currently with a silver status. I checked in on Tuesday with my wife to a front desk person who was very cold and unwelcoming as if our check in was an inconvenience and she was angry she had to put down her phone. She never offered us our complimentary drink and snack on check in, gave us the key and off to the room we went. Initially, we opened the door and were met with a hot Arizona climate room... someone left the room with the thermostat at 85 degrees. It was a warmer day outside so the felt temperature was insane. I tried to turn on the cold air and the room never changed temp. I went down stairs to tell the desk woman who was very happy to see me again... I say this with sarcasm. She had someone she was dealing with so I let her do that and I just waited patiently. As I waited, I watched her offer this young female the complimentary snack and drink that I was not offered as a silver member. Finally she finished with this customer and she asked me what I needed, I stated the room temp was extremely hot, and the air con was not working. She told me, "oh, thats normal, they take a long time to work, shut it off for 30 min then set it to the temp you want". I did exactly this, then after setting the temp, my wife and I went out to dinner. When we came back, the room was still insanely hot and the unit was just blowing around hot air. I went down again and she was not happy but told me that she would move us to a new room. I took the key to the new room, where I made sure the ac worked. The room seemed ok, my wife and I moved our things there and she put her meal for work the next day in the fridge. In the morning when she was getting ready for work, we opened the fridge to find that the food had spoiled and the fridge was busted. I looked to see if it was plugged in and it was. I later told the desk worker who was a young gentleman about this. He said he would send a maintenance man up immediately. This probably never happened, no one checked on us later either. Later in the evening my wife took a shower in the room and a roach came out of the baseboard trim in the bathroom. I was livid. At this point, I went downstairs to the desk worker who was a young woman and voiced all my frustrations. This woman did nothing to deserve to hear this but I had had enough. She accommodated us, moved us to a new room on the 5th floor, and when we got to the room our snack bags were waiting for us there which was very kind of her. She layer called up to the room to check in on us if we were ok and the room was ok. Her name is Kendra, and I made sure to tell her that she was the only person here that made any effort to help us. She really is a gem but the rest of the staff should be considered. Hilton is a great company, how they allow this place to exist in its sorry dirty state is almost unbelievable. The roaches, the fact the lobby is conditioned with space heaters, and the mood of certain staff members to paying guests are unacceptable. I want to contact a hilton administration person immediately and I will post all my findings for others so they do not meet my same fate here.

Edit: Valerie from their administration dept called me shortly after posting this review and she worked with me to hear my concerns and also offered me a night off my total cost which was very kind of her. I wish this hotel the best, it has a wonderful location but there are some changes that...

The Hilton hotels are my first choice. Marriott's my second. The last 3 months I've stayed 3x in the Hilton hotels but I'm so disappointed now.||I am greeted with "You checking in?" by a female staff member. No hello or welcome to... I have to ask for the 2 bottles of water that I automatically receive. She states "we only give them to gold members but I'll get them". I'm a silver.||Reception coffee & hot water: hot water is cold for the tea & hot chocolate. ||Room is clean with comfortable bed, soft towels but bathroom floor was not previously washed. Many dirty spots and hair on bathroom floor. Conditioner bottle is empty. ||5th floor room facing the highway which means you can hear the vehicles on the highway. Thankfully I'm a deep sleeper & only heard the noise when awake. ||Main reason why I'm so disappointed is that I had planned on relaxing by watching tv yet the tv had no channels or choices of Netflix, etc. except Direct TV. There were poor choices of the about 40 channels to pick from & all old movies. I thought I was doing something wrong so I go to the front desk & wait for several minutes as no one was there. Turns out I have to ring a bell for service. This is at 8pm. Same female staff from early informs me that most of the tvs in the hotel are not set up yet and she doesn't know which ones are, sorry. That's it....I head back to room frustrated. Watched a 2014 movie that I had already seen & went to sleep earlier than I had wanted.||Breakfast was good & the same choices as the other Hilton hotel chains. At 9:15 several items were empty and trash receptacles were full. I asked the two female workers that were standing & chatting in the office right at the breakfast area for a refill of a topping. One immediately responded. ||Around 10am, front desk area had a few customers waiting but no staff at desk. Once bell was rung a male staff immediately appeared. I'm baffled that staff aren't manning the desk at prime times. ||Most of the staff did not say hi, smile or acknowledge you. I will not stay at this Hampton Inn again nor recommend it. Too many other Hiton hotels (&...
