I have brought my cats here for years and wouldn’t trust any other vet. They are so kind, patient, knowledgeable, and most importantly treat your kitty like their own! They are up front with costs and don’t suggest unnecessary testing for their own benefits. I love that they have an option for evening appointments one day a week and are open Saturday mornings. Any time I am feeling stressed or overwhelmed with a sick kitty, they have been so helpful in calming me with honesty and compassion. Everyone there, from the receptionist to the vet techs to the vets, are wonderful people. It can be a very overwhelming feeling when you have a sick pet, and they do everything they can to make the experience easier on you AND your fur baby! I highly recommend Cats Preferred!

The staff is very knowledgeable, gentle, patient and listened to my concerns, but most importantly they show genuine compassion towards my cats and you can tell they really love what they do & love cats! I have been coming here for many years and wouldn’t consider going anywhere else! Thank you to the staff at Cats Preferred - you have always been there for both me and my babies!

They are without a doubt the most caring, informative and compassionate team of people I have ever encountered. They supported me through the last stages of my 17 year old cat’s life, were supportive and soo loving. I now get to stay with them as I brought a new kitty into my home. I wouldn’t go anywhere else! I cannot say enough wonderful things about them!🤍

10 out of 10, would not recommend. If i could give 0 stars, I would. Took my cat here yesterday. My cat is 10 years old, and she's a grumpy gus, always has been, always will be. That's just her nature, and I love her for all that she is, even her grumpy parts. Although she's grumpy, she's a happy, loving and well loved cat. I would know, I've had her since she was 8 weeks old.

Yesterday was my second visit at Cats Preferred with her. Her first time there to get a wellness check, she was grumpy and stressed as any cat would be who doesn't like car rides, vets, or being poked and held. She hissed and growled, no problem and got her vaccines. Took her for her vaccines yesterday, she was her usual grumpy self. Did not want to be there, hissed and growled, as she normally does. The vet said she was too "stressed" and to come back a different time after she is drugged....mind you, she didn't bite, and was held down by a vet tech for 10 minutes, when she doesn't like to be held or held down (I don't know any animal that wants to be held down by a human) all while this "vet" explained her reasoning behind why she thinks my cat is "too stressed" to have a vaccine. They didn't put her back in her carrier, they held her down on a table.

I drove 25 minutes with a cat that does NOT like to go outside, does not like car rides, doesnt like to be held, and doesnt like vets.... LIKE MOST CATS, for absolutely nothing.

Unless you have a perfect little angel cat with no personality except rainbows and butterflies, who enjoys car rides, being outside, going to new places, and being poked, held, held down and getting shots, I would not recommend them at all. They will simply waste your time, stress your cat out and persuade you to drug your cat at your expense and your cats, so they are "happy" to come in.

If my cat had to go to the vet more than once a year, I could see considering reducing stress levels with a holistic approach, or worst case, medication. But we have never had a need to go to the vet more than her annual wellness exam. And I don't see a need for an immediate jump to medication, in an elderly cat.

I thought being a cats only vet, they would understand no two cats are alike. They have different personalities, quirks, likes and dislikes. Instead, I've been met with a vet that seems to operate only for dollar signs, ease and medication. We currently have three cats, and will be taking all of them elsewhere; to a place with vets that actually...

I had used Cats Preferred years ago once for both boarding and for check-ups. They were fine, although I found the vet to be a little bit cold towards me, but I thought she truly cared for the cat. I moved out away a few years ago and found a vet closer, who charged less, and just seemed to take more time and made me feel welcome when I brought the cat in. My new vet doesn't do boarding, she is just a country vet.

Yesterday, I called Cats Preferred and inquired about boarding this Friday. Cats Preferred told me they had openings, and scheduled me. They said all I needed was to have my current vet fax in the records showing his vaccines were all up-to-date, which they did. Then today, the receptionist from Cats Preferred called me and left me a very rigid sounding voice mail that the vet had reviewed it, and that even though he had all of vaccines in the last year, that I would have to bring the cat in ahead of time for a full examination "because we haven't seen him in such a long time."

I called back and explained that I get him yearly check-ups, that I am swamped before I leave town, and asked if I could just have her look at him when I bring him in (like every other boarding place does). She said no, that it would have to be done ahead of time and I'd have to pay for it.

This really ticked me off because I made plans, had my current vet send over the papers, did everything they asked, and then they basically left me in the lurch. When I asked if they didn't trust the other vet, instead of directly answering the question, she said in a snotty voice "We have to check the cat because we have to take responsibility for the cat."

I won't ever back. If they messed up and forgot to tell me, they should have just said "When you bring the cat in we'll look at it, but if there is anything wrong we can't care for it." Instead, after telling me that all I needed to do was have my vet send over the vaccinations, they changed their mind and then expected me to take time off from work to bring the cat in on their hours when I am about to leave on a trip. The cat is healthy as was verified by the other vet, it is ridiculous and seems to be an attempt to just raise revenue. Again, had they told me ahead of time, fine, but they really left me in the lurch.

Personally, I will never trust these people again. They look at things through their eyes, not...

I have been taking my three cats exclusively to Cats Preferred Vet Hospital since the middle of 2016, when we moved in to the neighborhood. I love this clinic. The staff is amazing, the vet techs and veterinarians are some of the best I've worked with.

Reception and techs answer all of my questions via phone calls - of which I have a lot. Sometimes I call in with, what I consider to be, really dorky questions, and they always take the time to research my inquiry and get back to me with an answer the usually eases my mind about whatever is going on with my kitties. If reception and techs can't find the answers, a veterinarian will get back to me and answer my dorky question without any judgement or pressure.

Perhaps the best example I can share of Cats Preferred's dedication and amazing skill with cats started in October of 2016 when my 13 year old cat, Jackie, was diagnosed with a heart condition very soon after we switched to this vet. Though we were still very new clients, the clinic staff, techs, and vets were all so diligent in helping me find the absolute best remedies to help Jackie live out the rest of his unfortunately short life in as much comfort as he could have. They were gentle with both Jackie and me. They understood my devastation. They gave me all of my options at every crossroad and they respected every single decision I made. At no point did I feel judged for any of the difficult choices I had to made.

After Jackie passed, I called and asked if they would be willing to display a picture of him somewhere in their office (I'm a photographer). Without hesitation they agreed to see a portfolio of my Jackie images, and chose one that they were willing to display in their room. It now resides in one of the examination rooms, and I'm honored to see it every time I bring my other kitties in for their annual and bi-annual check-ups.

A very long review, I know, but I think everyone needs to know how incredible this clinic really is. They are dedicated to each and every client and kitty that comes through their door, and we will be loyal customers of theirs for the...
