Newline Nails — Local services in Plymouth

This was the absolute WORST overall experience that I have ever had at a nail salon. I don’t typically write reviews, but felt compelled to after having the experience that I had. I don’t know what kind of operation they were running, but they clearly have no clue how to run a proper nail salon. I’m actually blown away that anyone would return after seeing how things are run. They have multiple people doing a persons nails during the duration of the visit. I was there for TWO HOURS, and had three different people work on my pedicure. They kept switching off with every new person walking in to get a mani/pedi. It seemed like they were trying to just get as many people in and giving them a subpar manicure or pedicure while still making them wait a long time. After waiting for 15 minutes after I first got there, they put my feet in water and had me sit there for an hour before they attended to me. Once they did, the lady was super aggressive and burned my skin with the drill. She did a terrible job shaping my nails, and then she went to someone else to start their manicure. Another lady took over to file more. Then another lady finished the polishing, which was also subpar. I then sat down to get my nails done. I asked her to use the same color in dip that she used on my toes. I had mentioned what color I wanted at the start and asked for them to find a comparable color in the dip to match the color on my toes. She then began to tell me that they don’t have anything that will match it, and then walked over and started an acrylic set on someone who just walked in as a walk-in. I then called them out and mentioned that I’ve been there for two hours while they’ve been playing musical chairs. The lady who initially started my pedicure started to yell at me and say that if I knew what color I wanted that I wouldn’t of been there for two hours! She got up and started to yell in my face!! I was in complete shock! She couldn’t take accountability that she was COMPLETELY IN THE WRONG!!! I told her to stop yelling in my face and she told me that she wasn’t yelling. Wow. I would like to see what she actually considers yelling to be! Long story short…DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!! I have never experienced something like that in my life. I obviously got up and left, and will NEVER return. There are way too many salons out there to ever go to a place like this. Update-I ended up getting a fungus on my toe nails from this place. Yesterday I got my nails done here. I saw their salon was very busy and it seemed like they did a great job that's why it was so crowded. But it seemed like there was a customer there and a very rude white woman. demanding all kinds of things and not knowing how to sympathize. I feel sorry for the people who work there who meet such customers. They tried to do their jobs well but it seemed like that woman didn't have anything. attitude is truly human, I've been here many times and found their service to be very good so today I'm here to give them a good review of their store, I'm human and I have to know that don't think that you have money but you want people to do this and that for you. I went to new line nails right by the new hyvee to receive a pedicure. o noticed a few things I think anyone going there should know. first the cut my toe. secondly watch what they are charging you when you go in. unfortunately I'm not a very confrontational person so i paid and left. but they charged me 46$ for the pedicure and polish. after reviewing there prices this was not right. she told me she also gave me 3$ off they have a sign in the window for 15% off mon- wed. well my math says 15% off 46$ is more then 3% I didnt pay attention to these things until I was home. it was absolutely a terrible experience. if you do choose to get your nails done there pay attention to the prices they are changing you and be careful not to get hurt. my nails also need to be redone as they look like they have been...
