Since their grand reopening, Kemnitz has never ceased to impress.

Their wide selection of classic chocolates and candies has maintained a very high standard for quality. Of the many purchases I've made, my favorite has been a custom box of their assorted truffles. The sales lady very happily helped me identify the different varieties and then packaged them into a professional-looking box.

The classic flavors they provide are not easily found anywhere else in Michigan, and their new flavors are entirely unique. Of particular note is their hot-pepper-chocolate challenge. A completely new idea which perfectly combines a love for super-hot peppers with exceptional chocolate.

Kemnitz Fine Candies has the best handmade chocolates. Remember what Sanders Candy shops used to be like? Kemnitz has taken up that mantle to be the best chocolate shop in the metro Detroit area, in my opinion. It’s owned an operated by a local family, and is staffed by wonderful people. I love going there to buy gifts for family members, and just to pick up a little something for myself, too. The prices are very reasonable. They have prepacked boxes of candies, and large display cases of candies to choose from if you’d just like a couple things or if you want to choose a custom gift box of chocolates. Look, these chocolates were delicious, but your website was very uninformative. The milk chocolate caramel something I got from a bridal shower was great! But there’s no info in the box about what’s in the candies? And then I went to the website and it was somehow almost LESS helpful. And then the main thing I see featured on the site is called a “Dubai bar”. And maybe I’m the idiot for not knowing what that is, but it looks like it’s filled with pesto and I don’t see any information to tell me otherwise. At the very least a picture guide page to tell what each individual piece is would be very helpful. I was gonna buy some candies online. But “assorted caramels” doesn’t tell me as much...
