My best friend was in from out of state and initially I wanted to take her to E.G. Nicks of Downtown Plymouth (they have some good vegetarian options and my friend doesn’t eat meat) but they had a little wait. At Ironwood we were sat right away.. but now we realize why they may not have been so busy and wish we just waited the 20 min at Nicks for our table.
Pros: •When I went to order the coconut margarita, our waitress said “are you sureee?” And explained she had a lot of people send it back, which I appreciated, so I ordered a Blood Orange Honey beer that was really good. •Our side Caesar salad was good.
Pro/Con: •Our Beyond Burger was okay/good but not for the price, not enough Cajun Mayo and not “Instagram worthy”. We were also waiting for our ketchup and mustard while we stared at our food.
Cons: •Right when you walk in they have a hand written sign that says “not serving: pizza, calzones, cheese bread and nachos” which all seems to be a huge part of their menu. •While our menus were still in front of us a food runner came up to us with someone else’s food, we explained how we hadn’t even ordered yet. •Moments later we saw another runner take a salad to the wrong table. •My friend and I decided to split the Beyond Burger and split a side salad since we weren’t super hungry (they cut our burger in half which was nice and brought us another salad plate) BUT when the bill arrived we had a $2 charge for someone to cut our burger for us and on the menu (online and in paper) said the burger was $15.49 when on our bill it showed $16.99.
We brought the $2 charge and burger price issue up to our waitress. I asked if she could wave the $2 since we were not informed about it (we would have cut it ourselves if we knew) and for the proper price of the burger. She was helpful and said she could wave the $2 and that she would ask the manager about the burger price.
She did wave the $2 charge but said the manager couldn’t change the improper price of the burger, which is false advertising at its finest. If they couldn’t change the actual price, some other discount should have been accommodating. I am just happy I actually look at my bill when it arrives.
We still tipped 20% each realizing it was out of the waitresses control and she was helpful otherwise.
Iffy on about if I want to come back or not. This was my first and possibly only experience here since I spent more time talking about my bill then actually eating my food.
I try my best to leave good google reviews especially during these times, I myself lost my job due to bankruptcy due to covid last year. I think this place may just need a whole new menu make over for not having much of the product on the menu. Price changes should be properly executed and increased organization training for the staff...
Read moreLike every restaurant in America, probably in the entire world, this restaurant is also suffering from lack of staff. We arrived close to 8pm, we had a party of 6 and were told they didn’t have room for 6 yet there were two empty tables for 4 each visible to us. We mentioned it and were told we could sit our party in those two tables, but not join them. Maybe their staff can only take 4 people orders? Our first table was greeted first and asked what they wanted to drink and when 1st table mentioned we were together server freaked out and left. Second table waited a good 10 minutes before we were greeted and basically told they would take our order soon. Finally when 1st table was placing order, 2nd table was asked for drinks but since we had the time to look over menus we ordered drinks and food, we had to take advantage. 2nd table received their food first, 1st table received their food about 5 minutes later yet they placed their order first. Food is good pending on what is ordered. This is a pub like place so your typical American food will be good. Don’t order a thin crust pizza because it’s not a pizzeria and it looked like it was a boxed frozen pizza that was heated up. The photos on this review are from table 2, no complaints on the food except fries and onion rings are very oily. Beer was served cold and interestingly stayed cold despite the wait. Do I recommend? Probably go during the day? I think at night it was chaotic. The music was so loud that the servers couldn’t even hear what we were ordering. There are many restaurants near by, if this one doesn’t work out, there...
Read moreTook my mom here today for Mothers Day lunch and we were not impressed. We have ate here multiple times in the past, but it has went down hill in quality and service. We were there for at least 2 hours. They were very slow (although our waitress was great i really mean the kitchen). A table got up and left bc they were tired of waiting and I over heard they were short staffed. I also over heard they started running out of things which is shocking because I always assumed restraunts ordered enough for a special day! We ordered steaks which got made wrong so they did re make them and the manager did comp them. Which was very nice and appreciated. The steaks were supposed to be medium and they came out WAY OVER DONE. It was so dry and tough it hurt my teeth. They also ran out of silverware and had plastic ware. That's a no for steak lol. It just sucks when you are craving a place for what you like and it just doesnt come out good. We refused to complain because we knew it was hard already and also it was not the waitresses fault, and it was very nice to have it comped. But, this place is very over priced for the quality of food they are serving. Thankfully the steaks were free due to the error, but I would have NOT paid for them regular priced for what we received today. I don't think we will be back for a while which is a bummer bc we love this spot in the summer. Hopefully the next time we do eat here again it will be...
