Ps nutrition cafe — Local services in Plymouth

I wanted to love this place, I really did! I am always on the hunt for protein shakes and they even have protein coffee!! However, this is where the romance ended. I was so excited for the protein coffee. When I got there I asked the girl whom greeted me about coffee flavors . She seemed like she wasn’t really sure or maybe she doesn’t get a lot of orders for these? Anywho I order and whom I presume was the owner was chatting with me while she made my coffee- he was very nice and welcoming. Coffee is handed over, and I hit the road. I take one sip on the highway and nearly choke on the globs of protein powder floating on top. I drive for about 15 minutes more, hoping they dissolve. No luck. I am trying to think of how I can stir this stuff in, but I don’t usually keep a spoon in my car. Maybe some do for these type of stirring emergencies. I decide to take the lid off and try to stir it with the lid to get the inch of protein powder to break up on the top. No luck again. Finally I throw in the towel and the $8 coffee went in the trash. I visited today and was initially impressed.. the aesthetic is beautiful and my smoothie was phenomenal. So you might wonder why I’m leaving just 1 star.

When I walked in, I was greeted right away, and the young lady who took my order was polite and professional. However, there was a young man behind the counter who, at first, seemed friendly. As we interacted, he repeatedly referred to me as “girl” not in a casual or respectful way, but in a mocking tone, mimicking a stereotypical way some urban Black people speak. Each time he said it, the group behind the counter (all appearing to be in their teens or early 20s) laughed, making it very clear that I was being mocked.

As a grown African American woman in her mid-40s, I found this experience extremely disrespectful and disappointing. It completely changed the energy of what could have been a great visit. Sadly, despite the amazing drinks and atmosphere, I won’t...

I love this place! The owners are wonderful people! Ron, Dylan, and crew are always friendly and helpful. Delicious teas, shakes, waffles, cookies, and other great menu items. All healthy and taste great! They have a weekly and monthly tea and shake. I love trying them all and have not had one I don’t like! My husband and I come here multiple times a week.
