I read the reviews prior do not give justice to the business or the staff. First and foremost, I only have been a pawn shop customer of Mad Mikes or Pawn One. (I have also made a review on Pawn One). I always go to Mad Mikes first, Pawn One is where I go if Mad Mikes doesn’t have it. With that said here is why I have bought many pieces of jewelry (diamond erring’s, necklace, bracelet), over 200 DVD’s, an Xbox and an Xbox 1, 3 TV’s, several tablets for my many children, 2 Nintendo DS, stereo, Swamp cooler, lawn mower, snow blower, weed eater, and many more random things I can’t remember to mention. I have spent several thousands of dollars at Mad Mikes. I have never had any issues with anything. Personal- I have been a customer of Mad Mikes, since 2004(When I turned 18). Within a year of knowing them, I was a college dropout, separated, using drugs, and living in my car. This is not due to them, but my own bad decisions. However, the same guys who were there in 2004 are still there now. Although, they have never said this to me, I have always felt it. I had some valuable items, that they would not loan on because they knew it would go into my arm or the things destroying my life. There were times when I was upset about them not loaning, but I see its value now. After leaving Pocatello and finding Jesus. I put myself back together, a process of five years, I returned to Pocatello. I returned to college, I needed to pay the school balance before I could start school. Mad Mikes got me back into college. I have gotten several loans, we have had to have emergency trips to Florida for difficult family situations funerals and other family matters, they have worked with me even on things overdue and have given more than what I expect.
This is a consumer review, I will also be posting a review for ministry, as well as a review for my...
Read moreTo everyone saying the customer service sucks here, please read this. It doesn't get better then this for customer service....
My wife and I did a loan from Mikes several years back. When we went to pay the last of our loan and pick up our merchandise, we had found out our stuff (movies and seasons) had been pulled before it was time. The lady that worked behind the counter more or less said sorry about your luck. I was very aggravated and ready to start yelling and screaming. The owner, Mike, happened to come walking through the door and immediately could tell something was wrong. I explained to him the issue. He apologized, and offered either money back or to see if we could locate our missing items on the shelves. We found some of the seasons and movies we had lost. When I explained to Mike what else there was missing (by now it was closing time for the shop), Mike (The owner) took the time to look the items up online and offered to have them ordered at no cost to us. Since my wife and I were moving out of state within a couple days, we couldn't do that option. Mike then went to the back and began bringing out boxes and boxes of seasons and movies. Told us to take our time. If we see some we would like, go ahead and grab them. If after looking through the boxes we couldn't find anything we wanted he would reimburse us with the money for the entire amount paid back. I'll end my experience there because what the outcome was doesn't matter now. Mike and his associates made the situation RIGHT. Try finding that kind of customer service anywhere else without YOU being blamed for their mistake.

Read moreA couple of years ago I had my new 32" TV stolen along with my new Xbox 360 elite. Turns out the thief pawned all my stuff to Mad Mikes. I had all my receipts and serial numbers and I reported them to the police the same day. I even reported it to all the pawn shops including Mad Mikes.
Well I went around all the pawn shops in town for about two weeks straight and just when I was about to give up i decided to do another round after waiting a week.
This time around I found my TV in Mad Mikes, I matched up the serial numbers and I proceeded to call the police. While I was making that call Mad Mike and one of his employees came and asked me what I was doing. I told them they had possession of my stolen property and once I told them that they left out the back door as fast as they could and drove off.
They had to have known my TV was stolen, I'm pretty sure they kept it off the floor until I stopped looking for it. As for my Xbox I'm sure they had it too but kept telling me they didn't and since it wasn't displayed I couldn't match the serial numbers.
This place is so sketchy and ran down I don't get why people would want to do business here. Especially since they aren't honest people either, they are no better than the thief that stole my stuff to begin with. They didn't even give me an apology or nothing about the...
