I scream, you scream, we all scream for Jungle ReTreat's ice cream! Nothing like good ice cream and family to boost spirits. The flavors are out of this world, but Farr's famous Idaho Huckleberry is the real star of the show. It's like a taste of summer in every bite. The huckleberry flavor is so authentic and juicy, it's like you're eating fresh picked berries straight from the vine. And let's not forget about the creamy texture of the ice cream, it's absolutely divine. The staff is also incredibly kind and friendly, making the experience even sweeter.
One of the things I love about Jungle Retreat is the wide variety of flavors they offer. From classic vanilla to more unique flavors like lavender honey, there's something for everyone. And if you're feeling adventurous, they also have rotating seasonal flavors that are always a hit. I also appreciate that they use locally sourced ingredients whenever possible, it really adds to the overall experience.
But, my only complaint is that I can't eat it every day (but trust me, I wish I could). It's that good. You can easily convert some of your friends and family to try it at first, but now they can't get enough. Jungle ReTreat's ice cream is truly a treat for the senses, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious and unique ice cream experience. Four stars because I can't give it five, but it's...
Read moreThis is the cheapest ice cream shop hands down. Which is why we frequent there often. They carry quality Farr's Icecream and have a fun mural on one wall and a photo wall on another. Which may be to distract you from it being the dirtiest ice cream shop in town as well. Hold your breath as you go in the front doors to spare yourself the misery of the stench of their only trash can. All it needs is a good soak and scrub. Heck, I have wanted to ask to do it myself just to get it done! They only accept cash or checks, I am sure to avoid avoid card fees to keep prices low. They are the busiest ice cream shop as well. But don't let that deter you. Because their payments are so quickly made with cash and affordable (tax included and only $1 per scoop, except one or two flavors) transactions are made quickly, even when swamped. Their service has always been nothing but kind and courteous. The tips there are well earned and deserved! Business has always been steady in winter and BUSY in summer. They have a few options besides scooped ice cream as well as a few fountain drinks and floats. And of course, Dole Whip! The only reason I give 4 stars is because of the good scrubbing the lobby needs. The types of tables they have are hard to clean and I have never even seen an employee in the lobby, let alone wiping the tables. But we continue being...
Read morefirst off, the red head employee with glasses who served us was 5 hours late for her shift. we looked into the building to see if it was open, and it wasn't, though it should have been. coincidentally, as we were leaving, she walked up to unlock it. instead of saying "hey im about to unlock it" she just let us go. we had to be observant rather than have a nice lady tell us she was opening the store. scratch that. not nice. one of the members of my crew was asking a question about flavoring, in which she replied "what" with a total attitude. on top of that, we kindly asked for a sample and she replied "we dont do samples" once again, very rudely. i understand not giving out samples, but replying in such a rude manor was uncalled for. once again, she was a strawberry blonde employee with glasses who was 5 hours late, very rude, and over all treated customers poorly. thank you. ps playdough ice...
