This is not the first time something like this has happened to me at this location. I frequently shop at the Weis in East Stroudsburg and also at the one on 611 in Stroudsburg and rarely have any issues. It just seems to be this location that I have problems with.
While watching my carbs i'll often to go a weis, shoprite, giant, etc. type place and get a pack of lunch meat and maybe some shrimp or another pre packaged item that is low in carbs for a meal while on the go. This here, was a huge mistake, and I was so angry at the level of care given by this place, I didn't even go inside and say anything because it would have ended up in me yelling.
Whoever was working in the deli simply doesn't care about their job. As you can see from the photo of the Roast Beef I spent $12 on, all of the cartilage was in there and wrapped it up as is for someone (me) to waste their money on. It wasn't very good quality RB to begin with, but having to throw half of it away because you can't even chew it really tends to ruin your lunch. You can't tell from the photo but the shrimp was rancid. I am a chef of 20 years, it was rancid. I believe they cooked old shrimp, froze it, and thawed it in shifts to lay out day by day for purchase. Who knows how much shrimp was actually inedible that they had sold that day, but unfortunately I definitely received one package.

Old: Today Tannersville store. 12:20. 20 minutes after cleaning?🤔 All Weis stores have a good assortment, but you may need to purchase different products at different stores due to varying deals. However, I must say that Weis at least 2 locations - Tannersville and Broadhesville has the dirtiest, smelliest, most disgusting restrooms. I recommend for Weis using Ajax, Clorox, Windex, and putting in 20 minutes of work to clean them or is the time for self checkout and self cleaning now?? 🤔

I was at the checkout and scanned an item my husband grabbed for us and noticed it was dried fruit packages cherries when it was supposed to be cranberries as I am very allergic to cherries. I told the lady at the checkout I grabbed the wrong one and was going to switch it and she said sure. So I went to get the correct item never leaving the store and noticed they did not have it so I went to customer service to return it. I was told by the lady they could not return it my husband thought she was kidding which she was not she said they do jot take anything back unless it’s damaged. I told her the package is sealed and I never left the store with it I never even put it in a bag I noticed after I scanned it and immediately went to switch it.
