I was just at another Best Western Plus in NY a couple of weeks ago, and this hotel is not on par with that location. Other BW Plus locations welcome me as a member with two bottles of water and a snack to choose. Other BW Plus locations also have a cappuccino maker. Neither were provided at this location.||I booked a room with a jetted tub and a fireplace. Neither were working and the sink was clogged. (I always check the amenities before settling in.) The woman at the front desk was very nice and gave me another room. Again, neither the jetted tub nor fireplace were working. ||When I asked the woman at the front desk to reduce my rate to the standard room rate (I paid a higher rate for two amenities that were not available), she advised that she wasn't able to do so, but to talk to the manager, Sanjay, who would not be there until the morning. Based on other reviews of this hotel and this particular manager, I didn't want to risk staying the night and being told in the morning that since I had stayed in that room, the rate would not be reduced. So I cancelled my reservation and left this hotel. Again, totally not the woman at the front desk's fault--she was absolutely lovely.||As soon as I walked into this hotel, it was musty and very evident that it needed alot of work. I hadn't read the reviews previously, but this hotel is not of BW Plus quality. If you are looking for a place to sleep for the night, maybe it is good enough. But I will definitely not return to this hotel, especially based on other BW Plus...

We presumed based on the reputation of other Best Western we have stayed before, which were good. -The location is great, especially to the places we needed access. -The public areas were unclean, piled garbage by bins, dried coffee spillage stains on floors, tables dirty with same garbage on it from day before. Public computer desk and area in lobby corner filthy needed dusting, wiping and cleaning. -Upon checkin to the room, it had mildew curtain, food remnants needed proper vacuuming, slow flow sink (changed rooms but it was the same), loud mini fridge. However sheets were clean. -The staff was friendly, but need proper training in service and hospitality; especially re 10 and 5 rule. -Chose room for fireplace only to find out after checkin, the fireplace was no longer functioning. And it snowed during our visit, it would have been a nice amenity. -The place seemed short staffed -Had discrepancy with bill and difficulty in rectifying. -Definitely not Best Western standard. -The value for room was fair, offered grab and go bags for breakfast, which is basic fruit cups, fruit juice and granola bars. -We would not recommend this location, unless training and cleanliness are improved. -Didn’t make sense sharing with staff, it seemed a lot was lacking in training and resources. Read moreMe and my 2 daughters wanted to get away for a day to do some sight seeing. We decided on this hotel because of the indoor pool. I booked through Expedia & accidently chose the wrong dates.. I contacted Expedia right away to change it & they said they would contact hotel to have it changed. 24hrs later I got email confirmation that the hotel was willing to change my dates and no extra cost. So great! We arrive at the date we were supposed to and they are unable to check us in. Because Expedia had the dates still wrong on their end and couldn't release the payment. So they advise I cancel and try to get a refund but then can book through them at like $40 more than what they org said! So I fought with Expedia and the hotel out in the parking lot for 1hr and 30 min with a 7yr old and 4month old. Only to be told that Expedia tried all efforts to reason with the manager who was clearly rude and inconsiderate, to let us stay under our orginal reservation even when I showed confirmation of the hotel approving the change in date and payment. So needless to say I requested my refund through Expedia && just took my girls down the street to the Great Wolf Lodge where we should of went in the first place!!! Customer service sucked!!! And the Manager was super rude to me and my girls. And when I brought up the email confirmation he ran to the back of the front desk and avoided the questions...
