Good evening Google Family. I had not planned this trip so I did not plan to stay at this hotel. I googled while stopped on the highway. I visited The Days Inn to see if they had an available room and they did. First they said $107.00 and I said thats too much. Then the manager said $89.00 and I said hesitantly, ok. I was hoping to get something cheaper. I'm cheap, Yall all know that. Lol. I showed my id and my card and then they presented me with the room key. 125, on the first floor. That was great!!! I drove around, unloaded my vehicle and checked into my room. I put things where I wanted. Then I went out to eat. First I went to Seafood Heaven, a take out spot, and I turned around and left. I wanted a nice restaurant where I could sit and enjoy and eat my food. That was Smuggler's Cove. I will update this review when I check out tomorrow. Good night, workout, be healthy, fit and fabulous!!!! Good evening Family. The update: I stayed at Days Inn for one night. These are the items that I was not happy about.
First off if you are trying to stay here, go down the road I saw a best westren. I have already called Cooperate and filed a complaint with the Pa State department of health. There are bed bugs and other bugs in the room. I first checked into room 169. I didnt see anything I looked but I didnt look good enough. 130 am i woke up as I was being bit. I called the front desk. They offered to move me. I had taken my sleeping medication and was not going to move. I tossed the room throughly in doing so i took all the sheets completley off. Giant yellow stains . They move me Saturday to a new room, the manager told me that we just sprayed for bugs.. well the second room was no better. Bugs, bed bugs, cob webs, yellow piss stains on the bed. Let me address this. I know damn well that you nor your staff would sleep on beds or rooms like this. How can you expect customers to. You are a disgrace to the brand name of Days Inn. You have zero standards, you do not stand by your work and were quick to come at me with excuse after excuse... when moved from 169 i was moved to 116. Had a hot tub. Had to clean the hot tub before using it. After using it thw breaker tripped. Manager said not to use the hot tub. So you move my room and now i cant even use the hot tub in wich i had to clean. This room as well as the first room had bugs, bed bugs, and piss stained yellow sheets. Biggest waste of money. I truly hope that the state department and or cooperate get involved because the condition this was in, should not be in operation!
EDIT..... Just so you all know. I got an email from this less then fine establishment saying they rented the same room to another person with no complaints. I have pictures and proof to back my claim. Furthermore. They told me I am not allowed to stay at this motel... Let me address this.... You could not pay me to stay in your less then stellar hotel. You admitted that you rented a room with bed bugs. Furthermore you use urnie stained sheets. Yes i did get upset, because of your filthy, nasty, conditions. You do not have to worry about me staying in your motel ever again, because you do not care about your guest and your email to me, well that prooved it. You put someone in a roo. After I told you about it. And I have pictures. I didnt make this up. If you have more then one guest complain about bed bugs, andnurine stained sheets..and has pictures of it.. who is in the right here? I have pictures... and your attitude, in the email is why i flipped on you in person because you dont care. But be advised I have called the state. And I have called cooperate. I apologize for my words I said, but I really am not sorry. I paid good money to stay in your motel and i have proof. PROOF. To back my clai.. have a good rest of your day. Lol ban me. Oh what shall I ever do if in the Poconos again... Stay somewhere safe I assume. Dont threaten me with...
Read moreI've given this hotel three weeks to make things right but seems like no one cares.
I stayed at this hotel August 12th and arrived late at night to a musty room with cobwebs in the corner. The second I used the toilet, the water overflowed and flooded the bathroom. I fixed it myself, getting sprayed with disgusting toilet water but I managed to save their carpets.
I call the front desk to ask for another room but the man at the desk said there were none available, so I asked for extra towels instead to soak up the water. I had to get the towels myself because there was no night staff, and FYI you have drive to your room from the front desk, so I had to get dressed again and drive over. I showed the video I took to the front desk in case he didn't believe me.
The rest of our stay involved no toilet - a MAJOR amenity that is STANARD for staying at a hotel, and we had none. We had to urinate in the sink. I spent the last three weeks contacting Wyndham and the service I used to book this hotel (Perks at Work/Priceline) and they claim that they keep calling the hotel to authorize a refund but the hotel is refusing even though when I called, a lady named Toni said it would be no problem. Priceline said they spoke to someone named Manus who said he can't approve the refund because we "used the reservation."
In what world does someone have to physically LEAVE the hotel to get a refund for unacceptable conditions. When you book a hotel room, you get a bed, and WORKING AMENTIES. That's the service that's supposed to be provided...Not just occupying a room. The hairdryer was broken too.
This rigmarole is ridiculous. No compassion. A hotel is supposed to provide the best customer service, and this has been horrible. If you get room...
