The Isle has redone the center area so that it is now all one level, and it is now a very decent bar with video poker. The variety of slot machines is great, and they have a pretty good assortment of table games as well. Their video poker selection is not good, but other than that, this is a very nice smoke-free casino. Myron's Deli is fabulous!! Overall, this casino is worth a visit!! Update 3/6/22: All above is still true. Terrible video poker selection (NO new machines), but slot machines continue to be updated. All Aboard and other newer machines can be hard to get on during busy weekends. Parking garage is being finished out behind casino. 4/15/22 update: they are now constructing what looks to be an outdoor eating/ gaming area in front between the entrances (I wonder if this is a concession to having a place for smokers). Pictures on the construction fence look like this. Some areas inside now roped off for construction and players club and cashier combined with a significant decline in service. Payments for jackpots are now VERY slow when they are busy. Machines being updated continuously except no new video poker (sigh). Still great food at Myron's Deli. Still a great casino that is going to be Harrah's Pompano soon! Can't wait for more gaming space!!
1/29/2023 update: Parking garage is complete and is fabulous-bright, spacious and well marked. Careful driving in, however, as the road coming in from Powerline is under construction and hard to navigate with signs and cones everywhere- kind of confusing-go slow!! EV charging available in the garage and Seven Stars parking is back with access via your player's card. New gaming space and Players's Club will greet you as you enter from garage down a nice spacious bank of 4 elevators-VIP parking is on floor 3 and casino on floor 1. A few new machines there in this new area asking with many older ones. The VIP lounge has been made much smaller with only a tiny stub of a bar left and with no working bathroom as construction on the larger new gaming area in the front of the casino continues. Still NO new video poker- my biggest complaint about this casino-their video poker selection is abysmal and hasn't changed except to get worse in years-I hope Caesar's eventually addresses this. The video poker selection is downright embarrassing and many machines are not in service- this section is just not in keeping with all the wonderful casino upgrades that have happened. I can't wait for the new space to open-hope there is a new video poker area!! Another complaint for us late night gamers...once the Myron's take out area closes, there are zero options for a snack, not even a vending machine. I still love the smoke-free casino environment and hope the improvements continue.
8/8/23 update. The new terrace is open. Sliding doors open to a room with open sides where smoking is allowed. Nice selection of newer & some older machines. It can be very warm out there. The smoke smell was not bad but depended on where the closest smoker was. Not much breeze despite the ceiling fans. I am sure that it would be stronger on a crowded night. I didn't see any video poker out there, but didn't hit every aisle. In the main part of the casino, the slot machine selection continues to be very nice, but on busy nights, it can be hard to get on some of the more popular machines. The whole place is very clean, including the bathrooms. The bar service was quick & friendly, but waitresses were nowhere to be seen. Payments for jackpots has gotten better, but still can take 20-30 minutes-kind of annoying, although they will unlock the machine after they get the info. However, the video poker selection remains abysmal, as I noted above. Overall, the new Harrah's is getting some really nice upgrades. I'll look forward to the VIP lounge returning & maybe someday, they will listen and they will actually get some new variants and new machines for...
Read moreNEWEST LATEST TRIP! This is pretty much unbelievable but I swear it- Just for starters, anyone living as far north as Ft Pierce as I do, should know it is an easy slide down the turnpike or 95 on a weekend- 1.5 hours, just an hour from Stuart, and free valet park for Veterans, and you're in the door to Harrah's pompano and it is a big beautiful first class casino- everything is beautiful, huge casino floor with hundreds of the best slots, a fresh air slot terrace for smokers, a huge classy poker room and racing parlor upstairs and my fav- Myron's deli- anyway I found $300.00 I had stashed from last trip on 5/11 so i made over $1k profit that trip- yesterday 5/25, I tried to duplicate last trip but lost $200.00 at poker, but then (and if you don't believe it I don't blame you)- I made a net profit over $1500.00! after terrorizing my fav machine Treasure Ball for $600.00 and then rolled it up into Dancing Drums for $1,900.00! So after heavy tipping everybody, my Myron's pastrami, a few short losses at poker and Quick Hit, I'm $2,500 ahead in two trips and still have the original $1,000.00 I started with- watch out Harrah's I going to own the joint if this keeps up...........Latest Trip- 5/11/24 Saturday drive down from ft pierce- 8 am 1.5 hrs. Valet park, 9:45 am inside instantly into another world! My buddy never goes anywhere so I am showing off. I go upstairs where already were about 30 players and in 1.5 hours win $250 at 1/2 hold-em poker, which is rare for me, get Frank and hit the Treasure Ball dragon where I won $3200 couple years ago. Dropped about 80 bucks quick, went over to dancing drums put in a $100- 45 min pulled out $400. Another machine made a couple hundred quick fooled around left at three with a profit over $800. That’s a pretty rare and great trip! anyway I love Harrah's and Myron’s deli where I got my beloved pastrami on rye from my fav waitress and left a good tip! Previous review- Three trips there, 1.5 hour drive. Great slots and electronics. Good Deli restaurant. Good poker room, all staff is great. I had a bad table once, with a drunk, otherwise all good. Next trip- Just back 4th trip 7/26/21. we drive down fr Ft Pierce 1.5 hours. Kind of a tough drive but worth it. We eat a great meal at Mervyns Deli, I usually get the pastrami, but got the steak and it was fantastic. Cheese blintzs will blintz you into yesterday. Wife loves to play the fantastic slots and I get to play poker in a great room with pretty friendly weekday players...Lost at 1/2 and 2/5, went down to see wife and started playing a big fancy machine and since I was still on tilt from losing at poker, I put a $50 in it and started playing $1.90 a roll. In half an hour I was up to $550.00!, wife came over, I played and lost $50. walked out $450.00 ahead more than covering my stupid...
Read moreReview of Harrah’s Pompano Beach Casino:
I am extremely disappointed with my visit to Harrah’s Pompano Beach Casino, particularly with the professionalism (or lack thereof) of its staff. While playing a Pot Limit Omaha cash game (2/2), I encountered a blatant injustice and unprofessional behavior from the dealer and management.
On the river, I placed a $125 bet, and my opponent raised to $400. I asked to clarify the amount of his bet by saying “Four?” However, the dealer, likely due to his hearing impairment, misunderstood my question as a call. Within a second, the opponent’s cards were revealed, and the dealer declared my action as a $400 call. Despite my protests, the floor manager, called to resolve the situation, sided with the dealer, claiming that I was responsible for stopping the dealer.
This all happened in a split second, leaving me no time to intervene. Moreover, one of the chips worth $100 was black, and the table was covered in black felt, making it almost invisible. This is a clear organizational flaw in the casino’s setup that creates confusion for players.
The dealer showed complete disregard for clarifying the action and failed to confirm my intention, which caused this dispute. From a hearing-impaired dealer, one would expect greater attention and professionalism, but this is clearly not the case at Harrah’s.
The floor manager, who should act as a neutral party, simply sided with the dealer, disregarding my arguments and even the confirmation from another player at the table who heard me say I did not call. This feels like unfair treatment towards customers and a clear unwillingness to resolve disputes fairly.
I will never return to this casino and would not recommend it to anyone. If you’re looking for fair and transparent gameplay, you’re better off finding another venue that values customer satisfaction and fairness. Harrah’s Pompano Beach is a prime example of how unprofessional staff can ruin the gaming experience and leave a...
