ALDI — Local services in Poplar Bluff

Clean, well-stocked, wide aisles, good lighting, polite shoppers, courteous clerks, fantastic prices . . . what's not to love about this place? Aldi is the anti-Walmart of grocery shopping. Decent choices of products, but not 100. Closer to a grocery store of yore instead of a massive warehouse with a massive parking lot. As a vegan, it has some very affordable staples. The vegan options are different everytime I go, but some are permanent stock. I've gotten to try some really enjoyable food there, that I've not found elsewhere, bought beautiful plants, cards, etc. I do wish more items were permanent, instead of seek and MAYBE find. Wish they had hand held baskets available for absent minded people like me that forgets to bring his own. I always go in for 1 to 2 items and end up with more than my hands full. Shopping carts are available to rent for 25 cents which you get back when it's returned but I don't carry change. The cart rental idea is genius as it cuts the costs of staff having to round them up costantly, but until they accept credit cards or until I remember to bring a quarter I will continue to wish they had the standard...
