La Torcia Brick Oven Pizza - Poplar Bluff — Restaurant in Poplar Bluff

It was OK. Stopped in while traveling. Atmosphere is more like a dining room, not a pub like I had imagined (bright lighting, table & chairs, open kitchen, a counter that I think is suppose to be a bar, etc). The pizza was good! We had the favorite. The baked mushrooms were ok. Little pricey at over $1 each ($7+ something for 6 small grocery store sized buttons). What bothered me the most was the lack of communication with our server. I came for an adult beverage and pizza to break from our road trip. She came and took our drink order almost immediately. There was no beverage options on the menu and I was not offered a drink menu of any kind. I asked if they had any ciders, and I'm not sure she knew what I was asking. I looked around puzzled trying to figure out what they offered (there's no bar with liquor or coolers displayed) and saw the few (4-5) taps behind the counter along with an open bottle of wine. This appeared to be the ONLY alcohol. So I unwillingly asked for a BudLight. She asked if I wanted a tall or a small. I said tall. A little while later I noticed a poster for a few select mixed drinks (a margarita, a whiskey lemonade, and a few others that didn't sound appealing), and a few other pictures for different beers like an IPA and Stella. I totally would have gotten a Stella if I had known it was an option. I also noticed a banner mentioning the weekly specials. Just so happens BudLight was on special that night. I was not told this when I ordered it. If I had known of the specials, I would have taken advantage of that. Check came without asking if I wanted another drink, so we...

I used to love this place. It was nice, great service with good food. Now it’s a dump. My husband, myself and our daughter went in tonight to get something to eat. Upon entering we waited by the door for 5-8 minutes before even being a knowledge by any of the staff. Once we were seated we were told by our waitress that she would be right back to take our drink orders. We thought nothing of it and sat there for 10+ minutes. Having 2! Waitresses walk right past us and not come assist us. Our daughter was getting anxious just sitting there with nothing to eat or drink. Then a waitress looked right at us, walked past us like we weren’t there to go assist a couple that sat themselves mere seconds after the waitress walked past us the second time. I understand we probably weren’t the best dressed in the facility but have some decency to all customers. Look at Adam Sandler for instance, he doesn’t dress all richy richy, but the man is worth millions. So this place overall needs to fix their service and attitudes towards customers. This is our first time visiting Brick Oven Pizza, and we loved it! The first thing we noticed is the parking lot was full, which is always a good sign for any restaurant. The restaurant was clean and well kept. We had no wait to be seated.

The food was delicious. Since it was our first visit my family tried each other's food and we all liked everything they brought out. Everything was fully cooked and crispy but not over cooked or burnt.

We had a BYO Calzone, BBQ Pork Quesadilla, and a BBQ Chicken Bacon Pizza

The service by the waitress crew was excellent! The girls would grab any glass that was almost empty and fill it without us needing to request a refill! That's great service 👍 She checked on us each time she walked by our table

There was a little wait to get the food after ordering, the waitress politely apologized for the wait, stating that the kitchen was backed up. I'm not sure if the wait is worth complaining about or if we were noting the time it took to get the food because we walked in really hungry 😁

I definitely recommend the Brick Oven Pizza and look forward...
