Yesterday my husband and I stopped in this store to buy a new phone. The sales person asked if we had any questions and my husband asked if there were any deals. The sales person responded that the S9 and S9+ were three hundred dollars off. So my husband chose the S9+ and we went to checkout with the same sales person. He said okay, you need to answer some questions on the keypad. These questions were very specific (e.g. what loan did you take out in June 2015). When asked what these questions were, the sales person responded “just questions from Verizon.” We thought the questions were odd but just extra security questions since we were buying a new phone from out of state. The sales person says okay I will go get the paperwork. He comes back and says okay this is the deposit and this will be the monthly payment plan. We said no, we want to pay off the phone today. We do not want a monthly payment plan. He said, “ That is what we agreed upon earlier. Since you wanted the $300 off.” We did NOT know that was part of the plan but decided to get the phone since our credit was already run. When we told him that we would take the phone, he said I already cancelled it. He redid it and then asked my husband to sign the form while covering up the loan contract.
So to summarize, our sales person, did NOT tell us we had to pull out a loan for the deal, ran our credit without checking with us, lied about the “security questions”, brought out a loan, cancelled the loan, reran the loan and did not want us to see the contract for the phone we bought. He also did not even mention the activation fees for the new phone or the Verizon phone insurance (only Best Buy’s insurance).
It was completely unprofessional and disappointing the way that he manipulated us. I do not recommend getting a phone from this Best Buy unless you don’t mind...
Read moreI went in the store and was introduced to Phil in Customer Service. We started to talk about what I wanted as he led me into the vast computer sales space. Once there, I asked him if there was a place to sit and discuss the specifics as my disability prohibited me from standing for more than about ten minutes. He stated there was none. He then led me back to the customer service counter and stopped at the first terminal at the crux of two sales counters. No seating was available at the customer service area. I was a little surprised that there was no accommodations for handicapped persons. Only being able to support myself only using my cane for so long, I saw a chair two and a half feet away from me. I was surprised that by my talking about seating and relocation to an area without seating to further discuss the specifics of the computer I wanted, I was not offered the vacant stool. As I did so, he immediately chastised me for going the four feet behind the un posted employee counter to retrieve the stool. I was in shock as to the lack of sensitivity, accommodations and compassion. After paying for my computer I then went to the Geek counter where one can sit awaiting service. Noah asked if I had an appointment and I said no and was given a number to call some barely English speaking person in India. Later I found out that they could have had made the appointment themselves by another technician. I got an appointment and returned and was serviced by Noah later. I was expecting to drop it off and was told he could handle the setup of my new computer. At least I got to sit down in between limited conversations. The setup for the printer was not successful. I wish they would come to my house at their cost to fix this as getting out is...
Read moreHad a very interesting experience replacing all my Kitchen appliances, but they did a great job overall. When the appliances were supposed to be delivered, there was a hiccup in delivery and was not notified the truck wasn't going to come until I called after the window was missed. Manager did get a hold of me later and he made things right with a gift card and offering to help. Didn't have to, but this took class and was very appreciated as he understood I basically wasted a Saturday and had to cancel plans. Things happen and the company followed through in making it right as I stated. Delivery came later than expected, but at least I had the appliances. Bit of an issue getting the refrigerator through my door and one of the fridge doors did get dented. The movers took note and I worked through Best Buy to get the door replaced at no charge. The Geek Squad who installed the door were very professional, super friendly, very efficient, and quickly installed the door. My dishwasher was missing a few pieces, and luckily there was a promotion to have free dishwasher installed when I told them I was missing parts, so the store was even kind enough to help me out there and get me the parts and help get it installed for the promotion (major headache relieved!) Were a few logistical things we had to work through, but the store is great at following through and taking care of customers. Never had a rude comment, always treated like a valued customer, and have not seen this much helpfulness in many stores. Five stars without a...
