We have been annual visitors of Beachhead and have stayed in the same condo for several years. We love the condo and the owner so much that we keep coming back. Frank, the previous manager, was friendly and amazing. This year, new management is there. We noticed new systems of coded gates and wrist bands to provide proof of occupancy. All of this is fine and understandably makes the condos more secure. The second evening of our stay, we encountered Adrian, the new manager. We were having a shrimp boil in the grilling areas under our unit. My 14 year old daughter took her 7 year old sister to the pool while we were getting things ready. The manager approached her and said she needed to get her sister and leave because she was not 14 (old enough to watch her sister). She is very small for her age, but is in fact 14. She chose not to argue and left with her sister as directed. Adrian followed her back to the room and then started banging on the door of the condo demanding to speak to her parent. This really scared her and she felt like he was following and harassing her when she did nothing wrong. He found us a few feet away cooking. He stated that he did not believe that she was 14 and then asked where her wrist band was. We told him that it was too big for her tiny wrist so she had it on her ankle. He then changed his rules in the moment and said that a parent who rented the condo would need to be at the pool. Our friend who had come to visit and cook with us brought her ADA service dog on a leash. The dog only stayed in the 15-20 feet from the parking space to the nearby picnic table. We saw signs at the pool stating no pets, so we stayed close to the condo without signs posted. As we were finishing up dinner, Adrian came by and instructed us that only owners were allowed to have dogs on property and that she needed to leave. We cleaned our things and we walked the dog down to the public beach. We stayed down at the beach for a couple hours. We walked back so that I could drive her back to her home. Adrian was waiting outside of the condo when I arrived, asking my 7 year old daughter with no adult around if the dog was gone. He came down and immediately pounced, telling me that me and my family of 6 had one hour (it was 9:30 pm) to leave the condo for good and forgo the remaining 3 nights we had paid for because we violated the rules. He stated that if we did not immediately leave, he would call the police to remove my children and I. Upon reading his new management rules, the policy reads that dogs are not allowed and the guest will be asked to leave with the dog. Nowhere does it say that guests would cause patrons to be evicted. Adrian also told the owner that we had taken the dog inside of the condo, which was a complete fabrication. The owner was lovely and called me immediately to see what happened. She talked to Adrian to try and rationalize the situation. She convinced him to allow us to stay until 11 am the next day but she was not able to get him to allow us to stay our remaining 2 nights. I have never, in all my life, been kicked out of any place. I have so many emotions and feel stalked, violated, harassed, angry, and unsafe. Needless to say, I will not be bringing my family back to Beachhead to be terrorized until Adrian is no...

Read moreThis was my first time staying in Port Aransas and my wife liked the look of BeachHead Condominiums. We rented unit 503 which was as close to the ocean as you could get at BeachHead. We had a very clean comfortable 2 room/2 bath ocean view 2nd story (1st story is for parking) condo. The view from the living room, kitchen and master bedroom was awesome. The 2nd bedroom faced the inside of the condo cluster. Whoever decorated 503BH did a good job. This condo was set up for 5 people. Enough towels, wash rags, soap, bedding, living room seating, balcony seating and dining room table seating for 5. Only a few minutes to all the restaurants and souvenir shops in Port A. And just a short walk down the private walkway to the beach. Beach access by golf cart rental is only a minute or two in either direction. Only issue we had was microwave did not work. We called Port A Escapes and and maintenance person stopped by about an hour later. Checked the unit and went and got us a counter-top microwave to use. This was fine by us, as long as we could warm items up we were happy. I look forward to returning to 503BH for our next getaway to...
