It was a rainy day and I decided to try this place out. I brought a friend and my three year old and had an amazing, memorable experience. It's relaxing, fun and exciting to see how they turned out! There are a lot of items to choose from and in a lot of different price ranges. I let my son pick out what he wanted because that's the type of mother I turned out to be. He picked out a Jeep. A little surprising since he's a hot wheels/monster truck kind of kid, but yeah sure. My friend picked out a little skeleton cat figurine and I opted for a vase. Mine took a lot less time than everyone else because it was a flat surface. My son had so much fun painting his Jeep and did such a good job staying in his seat and concentrating, I let him pick out another item. He picked a race car. He covered both items pretty nicely and we are excited to see what kind of pottery paint shenanigans a 3 year old came up with. I did a really great job just letting what he painted...be. The price comes with six colors you can choose to glaze and surprisingly the paint washes out of clothes. Good to know even though I dressed in case the paint stained. The recommended painting three layers of paint to get the desired color. This is something really cool and different if you have a couple of hours. We actually were done in an hour and half. I highly recommend if you have children for those memories. I highly recommend it if you want to hang out with friends if you want to relax and converse. I highly recommend it if you are alone and want to spend a couple of hours doing something different. The staff here are very kind and will answer any questions you have. I'll update with finished photos after they have cooked them. And I will be back again and again as long as this...
Read moreMy littles, 9 and 3, were SO excited to paint pottery! We had a short amount of time planned to go, maybe 45 minutes or so, as we had family coming into town. A staff member greeted us at the door and told us we had until 7:30 to pick our pottery despite being advertised they were open until 9:00. It was around 7:20 when we got there. Both my kiddos each picked out one very small item as they knew we would not have a ton of time to paint something large (We were also, originally, planning another trip later in the week with family). After sitting down, we waited and waited and no one came to help us. Customers continued to come in to pick up their pottery. People who showed up after us were helped prior to us. A differed staff member came over to us at 7:39 and told us we were unable to paint pottery as it was now 9 minutes past 7:30. I informed the staff member we had been patiently waiting and both items were very small. The staff member started to walk away and stated it was company policy and we would have to come back at another time. Again, they were open for another hour and twenty minutes. As my husband was getting our belongings to leave, he saw the staff member go to the room with the kilns. The staff member started speaking with two other staff members who began to look at myself, speak amongst themselves, and then laugh. This was such a terrible experience… Both my children were upset they could no longer paint pottery. My oldest child did understand why the staff member...
Read moreVery disappointed, we showed up after waiting for over a year to come back and paint with family only to be told we could paint because they don’t take painters after 8. Well first this was frustrating because we had waited for over a year to come and paint for my parents 50th anniversary. We had 9 of my family members there to paint. Secondly I call two weeks before we left for our trip to see if there was any reason a long party could not be served and to let them know we would be coming in late as late as 8:30 and was told no problem we will make sure you are take care of. That was not the case at all. So after we were told we could not paint I talked to the people working and let them know we had been waiting for over a year to paint with our family and that I had called to clear up any confusion. I was told I don’t know who would have told you that and that there was nothing they could do. So we left frustrated and sad. My 8 old was crying her little head off that she didn’t understand why they would tell me one thing on the phone and say now we could not go. All I could tell her was that it there rules. And just to note there was nothing on the doors or any signage saying you had to have everything picked out and ready an hour before closing. Very...
