We planned our trip around our pirate cruise but as we were driving there about a half hour away they called us to let us know that it was cancelled because they need 15 people to set sail and they only had 7. So, they let us upgrade to a later sunset/ fireworks cruise. This was a good thing because it was a very hot day and it was very pleasant in the evening. But, the fireworks didn't happen so that was a little disappointing, also zero dolphin sightings. The sunset was beautiful, though. The performers did a great job and we had a lot of fun except for the fact that the case kept shooting us IN THE FACE with squirt guns. I don't think anyone thinks that is fun. We didn't want any alcoholic drinks but they made some non alcoholic slushies - strawberry or pina colada. There were also candy bars and chips for sale. The bathroom on the boat is marine grade which means you just can't flush down paper products and have to put them in the can. The cruise started late, so the pre-show actually started at the time the cruise was supposed to start. So, no rush to get there early? The pre-show was not pirate themed, but had a magician. The on-board photos were very fuzzy when they printed them so they probably need to invest in some new equipment. But they were only $11. The pirates also take tips at the end, so...

We had the absolute best time aboard this pirate ship β it was so much more than just a fun ride. We actually chose it as the setting for our engagement photos, and we couldn't have dreamed up a more magical, adventurous, and meaningful experience.
From the moment we stepped aboard, the crew went right into their wonderful performances without missing a beat to also make us feel like part of their family. Every single member was fun, professional, and genuinely excited for us. They went above and beyond to make the day special β helping with poses, holding props, and even cheering us on between shots. Their energy was infectious, and their kindness made the whole experience feel incredibly personal.
The ship itself is stunning β beautifully maintained, full of charm, and packed with little details that made our photos come to life. Whether you're looking for a unique backdrop for a special moment or just want to enjoy a truly one-of-a-kind outing, this is the place to do it.
Thank you to the incredible crew for making our engagement photoshoot something we will treasure for the rest of our lives. You helped us capture our love in the most epic way possible!

Β Β Β Read moreI honestly didn't have high expectations for this cruise. We did it for our young kids. However, this was surprisingly fun and I'm so happy we went! It was enjoyed by all ages (there was even a senior living community aboard with us). The toddlers, kids, adults, and even the teens were having a blast. They have a bar and snacks onboard. They played music and games, and even gave us little tidbits and fun facts about the island and the areas we passed by. There were lite competitions for dancing and gold collecting. They fired "canons" at all the boats that passed us (a warning to anyone with sensitivity to sudden, loud sounds). We were entertained the entire time out at sea. The actors did great crowd work and were really into their characters. We also saw dolphins! The cherry on top was when they stopped the boat to harass the construction workers under the bridge. They started playing "YMCA" and embarrassed the hell out of the workers, who were good sports until the third verse. We didn't even get to the chorus before they started hiding behind their portos, haha! It was all in good fun. I recommend this cruise to anyone looking to take a few guided hours around the bay.
Oh and please bring cash because you'll want to...
