Edit: I changed to a 3 star from a 1. We finally were able to get a tour and the staff I have encountered over the past 2 days (5 different people) have all been attentive and helpful. I’m still quite disappointed that there is not a space for classes. I was really hoping for the 30 second circuit class, but the fact the equipment is out on the floor with everything else, not sure how any classes can be scheduled without a dedicated space.

I actually joined prior to it actually opening, as I was excited to get a PF so close to my house. I tried to go in a couple times now and maybe because it’s new and their staff isn’t quite experienced enough that’s why things are so bad. Tried to go in for a tour and was told “can’t do one right now”. Asked when we could, was told “just really busy”. Another person came over and said “we’ve been trying to do them every hour so you can always come back.” Asked about classes and was told again “don’t know. it’s up to the trainer so maybe in like a month or so we’ll have a schedule.” Why bother to open if you’re not prepared to serve clients. The location is awful. Parking is ridiculous, they’re still technically working on the building, and it’s VERY small compared to other locations I’ve been to. Super cramped spaces. Think I should have waited to start membership until after the location was finished. Hoping once the holiday vacation season is over and the building work is complete that things might get better. I have been coming here since this location has been open and I am also very frustrated with staff and how they are running things..not once, not twice, but THREE times I have patiently waited for red light only to have it given to someone else who was not there before me..I don’t have time for mistakes like that, and I’m sure others don’t as well. Most of the hand sanitizers are empty, and often there is no paper in the paper dispensers. While working out and looking down at the machine I have watched a layer of dust and grime building weekly, obviously not getting cleaned at all by staff. The first time I did red light I opened the standup doors to find the door to the room ajar and was shocked! Upon alerting staff they did know about this problem and gave no prior warning to me..this door is still a problem and the countless times I used it after I had to ask staff if it was an issue still myself with no one giving me a reminder/warning. I’ve never seen both of the drink machines in working operation so the 50% off feature of the black card for that is useless. Would love to see the facility clean, cleaning equipment and sanitation stocked, some sort of check in or queue for those waiting to use the black card features, and things all in working order. Just went to check out the port Orchard planet fitness. I used to go to the Bremerton one quite often. I moved to Port Orchard and just stopped going. I came in today to see if my account was still active so that I could start coming to the Port Orchard location right away. The staff were not welcoming at all and frankly kind of rude. As I came in and was explaining exactly what I explained in the beginning of this review to the individual, she cut me off as if not wanting to hear what I had to say. I thought it would be pertinent information. She told me that she thinks that I need to pay $56 before I can start going again but “she’s not sure”. She then let me know that she doesn’t know what do to for me to start going again or how to process the transaction and that since she doesn’t have a manager there to help her she can’t help me. I asked when a manager would be there so that I could move forward with getting back into the gym And she told me she doesn’t know. “Just try coming later in the week” Was not very helpful and honestly a very bad experience.
