Don't believe the good reviews. The employees and management take their sweet time here, with no concern about yours. Be prepared to wait an extra 20+ minutes above the average drive through time for your food here. This is the second time in just a couple of months I've been given a meal comp card because they messed something up. You might read that and think to yourself, that's good customer service, what's wrong with that? What's wrong with that is the fact that their service is so bad that they have to make up for it all the time. One time I waited so long I had to rush out the door, and I was unable to get a refund because I had to leave. What made it worse was the restaurant was empty, drive thru was very slow. I watched as employees stood around talking, taking extra time to make my food. As I said it was so bad I didn't even get the food. They saw me looking at them, and avoided any Convo. I had to leave.
Unfortunately, this behavior is common here. There have been other times I had this experience.
Yesterday was the worst though. We were in front of a big line in drive thru. We had a pretty small order. Employees messed up the order, and asked us to wait. They served the rest of the entire line before giving us our food!!!! When it was only one small item they needed to replace.
When I got my meal finally it was gross, and the chicken was full of gristle.
To the manager who I've talked to before: I don't want any more comp cards. Your service is bad. The laziness of you and your staff is apparent, as you treat work like social hour instead of work. We won't ever come back to this location, and I can say we confidence they lose money here all the time with their poor service and long waits. You will seriously wait a half hour or more here! No matter how...
Read moreI wanted to post the experience I just had here immediately so that the proper person gets the credit, because they went above and beyond to help me in a way that just doesn't happen very often these days.
Saturday 3/25, 7:15 PM I walk up to go into lobby to find that the lobby closes at 7. Drive Thru is still open, but I have an oversized vehicle that doesn't do well in drive thrus, so I call inside to see if I could walk up to drive thru window instead. I fully expected (and would have deserved) to have been told "tough cookie", but that's not what happened at all!
The manager instead unlocks the lobby door and let's me in so I can order at the counter, even though the lobby was closed and she was obviously busy. In a situation that she could have been totally rude and brisk/annoyed with me (again, totally deserving) she was nothing but pleasant, understanding, and helpful to me and accommodated me when she easily could have told me no.
The food was delicious as always, but the extra mile taken by this manager and her crew is what made this visit so exceptional. Unfortunately, I did not get her name, but she was a shorter caucasian brunette. Whatever she's being paid, it's not enough!
A big thank you to her and the entire crew, Port Orchard Taco Time has more than just quality ingredients, they have...
Read moreUsually stop at Gig Harbor TT on way home. Decided to try Port Orchard at noon for lunch today. Never again. Ordered in drive thru to take for a picnic. Classic beef burrito at almost $9. 2 chicken crispy burritos and 1 beef crispy burrito almost $5 each. Opened bag and crispy burritos appeared as expected. Classic burrito had correct wrap sticker on it, was about less than 1/2 inch diameter. Opened it and it was a flour tortilla with a couple teaspoons of meat mixture. No cheese, no rice, no beans, no lettuce, no sour cream as ordered. Only a small amount of meat and flour shell!! How could anyone have thought this was a TT classic burrito?? The cook or the one that packed the bag! Also, the crispy chicken burritos both had big chunks of non chewable gristle bites that had to be spit out. Over $30 for grief. The food flavor wasn't even close to Gig Harbor quality. How can 2 sites under same Taco Time name have such different quality food? Port Orchard management needs to step it up for their...
