Boutique By the Bay — Local services in Port Saint Joe

I have debated for 2 days whether or not to post a review about this, but I definitely think that the owner should be aware. Every time I visit St. Joe I visit Boutique By The Bay as it is a lovely shop with the latest trends and cutest clothes and jewelry! I walked in about 2:00 on Saturday afternoon 9/7/19 and was the only customer in the store. The young cashier at the front never once greeted me or asked if there was anything she could do to help. She was standing at the cash register “gossiping” with a friend and never looked up. The friend eventually left and I was the only one in the store besides the young cashier/clerk. The remainder of the time I was in there she never spoke to me, not even when I was checking out, other than to tell me the total of my transaction. Let’s just say I spent $175 in this store and almost walked out because of the rudeness of the staff! I desperately needed something to wear or I would have. I would just like for the owner to see this and be more aware of how the staff is treating customers in their store!! I hope next time will be a better...

I love this store! We went twice on our trip to Port St. Joe. The first time, we looked through all the cute clothes. I bought a pair of jeans and a black crop top, my friends also bought jean shorts and sunglasses. The clothes aren't cheap; around what you'd expect the prices at smaller boutiques like this to be. The clothes were great quality though, so the price is worth it. We went back a second time to look at the Port St Joe Soap Company shelf in the store--they carry soap, lotion, perfume, and candles that all smell great! Customer service was excellent. The store is lovely but the cashier, Lisa, was not only unfriendly but just rude. My purchase was small, but she seemed resentful to stop what she was doing to ring my purchase.
