We eat here at least twice a week and love the variety of entree options! This is a family owned restaurant where the staff treats you like you are part of the family! Exceptional customer service, warm & friendly atmosphere and the best authentic Mexican Food I have ever eaten. The cultural influence infused into each dish is a culinary delight. In addition to the vast menu options, they offer a daily special that is always worth trying. It is usually a dish that is labor intensive and can't be added to the regular menu because they are labor intensive. For example, hand made Tamales is one of my favorite daily specials!!! The open kitchen is neat, I love seeing the chef's masterfully preparing our food. The cuisine is authentic, fresh and we always leave with full hearts and full bellies!! The decor and artwork is colorful and fun. Some of my favorites: The Governors Shrimp Taco's! Grilled Shrimp, cheese, bacon, avocado & Chipotle on a corn tortilla. The bacon pairs beautifully and takes this taco to the next level. Street Tacos; Cochinita Tacos Especiales Baja Fish Taco's Cochinita Pibil Seafood Burrito California Burrito Arrachera Chimichangas Shrimp A La Diabla We love to dine on the patio and catch the bay breezes šŸ¶šŸ• Fur babies are invited to the patio!

I hate to leave negative reviews but dang this place missed the mark on nearly every level and left us incredibly disappointed after an almost 3 hour meal. Our waitress was so sweet, very kind and warm, but I think it was over a half hour before we were even able to order food. Probably another hour before we had our food and what we got was honestly… quite awful. Chewy steak and stale tortillas, not hot or even warm. Bland white rice. Everything topped with bagged shredded cheese. It seemed our waitress was doing her absolute best but she was so busy that everything just took forever. She was behind the bar making drinks for quite some time so she was also on bartender duty, maybe just understaffed? There appears to be a decent amount of good restaurants in Port St Joe, I would avoid this one like the plague.

Excellent service and food! We loved loved loved the fish tacos. The street tacos were amazing. Very fresh flavors. The salsa was amazing, tasted like it was made right before we ordered it. Couldn’t get fresher than that. The cheese dip was excellent. The chicken quesadilla for the kids was perfect for two preschoolers to split. I loved the rice and beans which was more of a seasoned white rice opposed to a red Spanish rice. The pork skins and cactus salad appetizer were a fresh change from the normal chips and salsa. Excellent service. All servers seemed to work as one assisting all tables and guest. Very pleased and two other families from our vacation group have also visited and loved it. Definitely not an average restaurant. Excellent!!!

I don’t think they understand the assignment. Stale chips. Plain white steamed rice with ZERO seasoning.. Lots of FLIES. My clothes and hat got SOAKED from a dripping condensation vent. I left dripping WET. I was slightly unnerved by the cold, constant random drips on my hat, arm & back.Filthy restaurant. There was puke in the disgusting bathroom, which totally makes sense. No toilet paper or towels either. Terrible restaurant. No seasoning on food. Frier not working- Too bad we were not told until last minute that my grandson wouldn’t be getting a meal. Son In law had to LEAVE to go to Burger King to grab the 4 year old something to eat. Kiddo was so confused. We all should have just left. Disgusting. No one could eat their food. Our party of 10 couldn’t wait to get out of there. We all left NAUSEATED. Our poor server noticed all the plates were not eaten & offered boxes. I should have said ā€œwe don’t want to take any of this with us…we’d like to forget it ever happenedā€. We couldn’t wait to go take showers. A disgusting experience. We all left hungry but were too grossed out to eat. Lost our appetite & our patience with this hole in the wall. In a small town with lots of tourists….beware. You don’t have to be good….you just have to be open. Worst restaurant I’ve ever been...

We have eaten here numerous times and tonight was the last. We were planning on eating at the bar. We sat down and the girls behind the bar were chatting and didn't speak to us. Finally they asked for our drink order and we pushed the dirty dishes and drink to the side, they took them and never bothered to wipe the counter. We got our drinks and the smell hit us. It smelled like sewer backup. There was water leaking out from under the bar and that may have been part of the issue. A server was pouring a beer out of the tap and pouring off the foam and it was flooding her counter. She told the manager it was not draining and was backing up. They obviously have an issue with their plumbing and need to address it. There was no way they didn't smell it and acted like it was nothing. We told the server we wanted our food to go. The smell breezing thru was so bad it was making me gag. Our food came, we paid and left. We got home and the food was cold. We live maybe 5 mins from the restaurant, hardly long enough for it to get cold. We have eaten here so many times and never have we been disappointed. Tonight was probably the last time for us. So sad because the food and service have always...
