Extremely Disappointed – Poor Service, Long Wait, and Bad Attitudes
I don’t normally leave reviews, but after this experience, I felt it was necessary to say something. My recent visit here was incredibly disappointing, especially considering the amount of money we spent — over $100 — for what was supposed to be a simple online pickup order.
We placed our order online, and the confirmation stated that it would be ready at 7:08 PM. Wanting to be prompt, we arrived right on time. However, instead of being able to grab our food and leave, we were told to wait — not at the host stand, not at a pickup counter, but in the corner of the bar. It was uncomfortable, awkward, and frankly unprofessional.
To make matters worse, it seemed like the staff didn’t want us there. Several waiters gave us annoyed looks and acted as though our presence was a nuisance — even though we were just following instructions. Only one waitress showed us any basic decency or kindness, and we’re truly grateful for her. Unfortunately, her professionalism was overshadowed by the rest of the staff’s dismissive attitude.
After sitting and waiting — for almost 40 minutes past the promised pickup time — we finally received our food at 7:46 PM. No explanation. No apology. Nothing.
To pay over $100 and receive not only late service but also rude treatment is unacceptable. We could have dined in somewhere else and had a better experience for the same price or less. I’m not sure what the issue was — whether the kitchen was backed up or the staff simply didn’t care — but either way, communication was nonexistent and the level of customer service was disappointing at best.
This wasn’t a small mistake. It was a complete failure to deliver basic hospitality. If this is how the restaurant handles online orders, I strongly urge others to consider going elsewhere, especially if you’re spending that kind of money.

Read moreMy wife and I were in this evening and the first thing we noticed was it is a very noisy place. To exacerbate the situation a singer started playing loudly at about 6. Shouldn't you wait until after the dinner crowd? We also realized we were in a local hangout which is fine unless you are a tourist at the bottom of the totem pole. Our waitress was fairly prompt and friendly taking our order. She didn't return until after another waitress brought our food. Forty minutes was the wait time and it wasn't that busy and they didn't seem under staffed.
As far as the food goes, my wife's shrimp was decent but my burger which was cooked as ordered was ice cold and the bun was sopping wet with juices and they must be rationing the onions as there were a couple little pieces. I requested my fries to be extra crispy and maybe they were when they came out of the fryer. They were cold and soggy as was my burger. The fries were apparently dredged through a barrel of salt so they were completely inedible. Soggy and cold as the burger was it tasted ok. Our waitress did ask if she could take it back but I was unwilling to wait another 40 minutes in the noise of this place while my wife twiddled her thumbs.
The easiest solution here is for the wait staff to be more attentive as to the orders coming up. Not sure about the fries, there was probably a months worth of salt on those puppies and I'm a salt lover. The cook shouldn't do that, leave it up to the diner.
I might be back but I will really raise a stink if the same thing happens and never return. You know the old saying, "fool me...
Read moreThe place was full but considering it’s pretty small with at least 6 servers it should be manageable. We were seated but no one came over for 15-20 minutes. After watching the waiters stand around chatting with one another I decided to wave one over and asked if anyone was assigned to our table. She said “I’m not sure but I’ll be happy to help”. Sounded great but it went down hill from there. We ordered fried oysters, chicken parm, Mac and cheese, and nachos for an appetizer. After 20 minutes she came back to tell me that they were out of oysters. So I ordered the gulf shrimp. After about 10 minutes she brought my food to me but not my kid’s. I asked for a refill of tea, cocktail sauce, and silverware. She came back with 2 forks and said she would look for another one, and a thing of ketchup, not cocktail sauce. We never saw her again until the end. After another 10 minutes my kids’ food finally came. Still no fork, cocktail sauce, or tea. I finally had to go to see the hostess and pleaded another fork. I ate my shrimp without cocktail sauce. For $20 I got 7 shrimp. For $5 one of my daughters got 4 bites of Mac and cheese. My other daughter was happy with the chicken parm. After we were done we waited another 15-20 minutes for or bill. With the tip it was $70. Although the food was slightly above average the service was just awful. With our simple requests we felt like nothing but a bother to them. I don’t think our waitress really felt like we were HER customers and treated us as such. This was probably the worst dining experience I’ve had in my 50 years of life. We won’t...
