Dollar General — Local services in Port Saint Lucie

I have been living in PSL for over 20 years but never shopped at Dollar General until May, 2025. I was excited to see the deals at the stores and the cute little decors that are available. However, I quickly found out that their customer service is very poor. One guy and a woman kept arguing with me at this store and the man even threatened to call the cops on me after I asked for a refund. His (Jonathan, I believe), exact words were, "take your stuff and get out of MY store!" This is the worse experience I've ever had at a store and I feel as if Jonathan(?l should lose his job for treating a customer the way he did. The female employee who sided with him also has no business working in customer service. They were rude and uncaring. Needless to say, I decided that I will go back to avoiding Dollar Generals. My experience with the other 2 stores close to this one was also poor. I only met one lady from California who was really nice.

FYI: If I decide to go back to a Dollar General, it will be the one off Del Rio Blvd. I met a few nice employees...

If this is the one in St Lucie Plaza, I just witnessed the stupidest thing I've ever seen. There's a women buying at least 100 items. Instead of the MANAGER opening another register because there's 4 other people in line and it building, she standing there looking high in drugs, putting the bags of merchandise into the women's cart. Literally holding herself up with one arm and with the other arm putting bags into her cart. The cashiers totally capable of doing this herself. Everyone else in line getting noticeably frustrated and she's just looking at us like she just shot herion leaning in the carousel. I will never, ever, ever go back to that store again. And that's too bad because for a small store it's pretty clean and organized. I'm sure it's thanks to the day staff because they've always been very nice and helpful. And I didn't mention all the card board boxes I had to climb over to get to the next isle. Whoever hired this girl needs to fire her. Whoever made that mess a manager...

I finally decided to try another Dollar general experience after the last one at another store was horrible. Well I’m glad I did, as I’m in a wheel chair and bought a cpl more things then usual and the lady that checked me out her name was Kris helped me with everything, made sure the bags weren’t to heavy and then she said I’ll help you to your car also. I said it’s okay I can do it she said no ma’am I will help you and she did she went outta her way and walked out with me and put everything in my car for me and even waited tell I got out of my chair and she put my wheel chair in the back seat for me.
