The couple who own/runs the store are very nice; however, while I was ordering furniture, I didn’t think to ask certain questions and instead of asking me, they just assumed. I spent thousands of dollars and felt like they should’ve seeked clarification. For example: I had an entertainment center built and said I wanted to do one side split in half to hide my husband’s PS. Instead, they made it the exact size of the PS with no room for ventilation. Then came the delivery. I was told it would be done in 2 trips (which I felt should’ve been done in one since they were given almost 4 months notice) but 2 trips turned into 3, which I felt was too many for how much I spent. I had to take 3 days off of work. The delivery company they used is 3rd party (purple rain) and HORRIBLE. They scratched up my glass door and nobody cared. The furniture store owner awkwardly laughed it off and the delivery company owner told me he’s not doing anything about it. They tracked in dirt and didn’t take off their shoes or wear booties, ruining my rugs. I was warned the delivery would be rough by someone I know who purchased items from The Modern Farmhouse but I wasn’t prepared for how bad. Furniture is beautiful but owner had to come out a few times to fix things that should’ve been double checked before releasing the items to be delivered. When he came out to fix a drawer, he implied we broke it which I found weird since I sent video and showed the drawer not working within days of delivery. I want to recommend this small business because the furniture is great quality and beautiful but with the lack of communication and horrible delivery I’m not sure I would recommend them to other people and I’m not sure I would use them in the future.

He argued with me on the phone, nitpicking and breaking down my review even after I explained I felt my review was fair and honest. Paid for chairs that have “Made in Vietnam” stickers on the bottom of them that someone tried to remove the lettering. Pro tip, remove the label next time. The best part is the dining room table top that they used wood that wasn’t properly dried all the way and the wood split all the way down the table. It sounded like a shotgun going off in the dining room when it separated. One of the plugs for the leaf openings was made upside down. So happy with both orders we’ve placed. We first ordered our table back in 2022 and just loved the look and quality! 2 years later we decided to go back for a bookcase. It was just delivered and put together. I LOVE IT and can’t wait to fill it with all my stuff. I’m sure I will be back for more in the future. Great prices for solid wood pieces. Peter is wonderful...
