AT&T Store — Local services in Portage

WHAT A SCAM ASSOCIATE! Buyers beware. Went in this morning to get a new I-phone. Was helped by a Brianne T. She told us that we would need a charger as the new iPhones don't come with them any longer. Weird....but okay. We bought one for $30. We leave and open the iPhone box and to our surprise, a charger cable was included. We THEN look at the receipt closely to see that she sold us insurance without even asking. So we go back into the store to return the charging cable. Also asked her why she added insurance onto our plan WITHOUT ASKING and she said a couple times that it comes "standard" with any new iPhone. I asked if we could remove it and she said "no, that it is standard". We left the store, called ATT and they took it off right away and said that it was an optional service, just like I had suspected. I do not like shady business practices, or unethical liars. Whether on commission or not, Brianne should have asked if we wanted insurance and she should know her products well enough to not sell anyone items they don't need. I will be writing to corporate based on my experience with this associate. And please don't tell me that you'll hope I'll be back, blah blah blah. William and the young lady that helped me yesterday from the moment I I was there they greeted me and I explained myself and William helped me without any hesitation and I explained that I was sure about the clearing the phone out and he explained it and when I asked about a charger I explained I didn’t have the money and he wasn’t pressuring me to get but the young lady explained the longevity of using the correct tools so I did end up buying the charger and case and some other things but it wasn’t forced it was like I was just talking with friends but not if get u get it so 5 stars for both I so so sorry I forgot the ladies name she was just as professional and everything as well also William did say if I didn’t feel comfortable with my other phone I could bring it in and someone would look to see if I did my clear it out right I didn’t with one of my other phones and didn’t get my credit towards my iPhone 12 but other than that this is the best store for business all around great job 5 stars for both...

Yesterday I walked in with a bit of a Difficult situation also very frustrated since my phone was stolen. As soon as I came in Alex greeted me kindly ready to take care of my issues. We sat down together and tackled each problem. I couldn’t decide on what route to go next with my situation, she went above and beyond gave me a quote for all 4 phones plus she helped me look up what was the next step I needed to take with Apple, she gave me their number and explained to me what to expect next. I couldn’t decide on what phone to go with I changed my mind a few times with the phone I was going with after the process was started She was patient, kindly the entire time and very helpful. Also William was there although he was with other customers whatever he was able to help he did and was also very helpful. Once customers left he joined Alex and was also giving me options to better Assist my situation. Great team you guys...
