Columbia County Fair Grounds — Attraction in Portage

My family and I arrived excited and so ready for a good time. It simply did not happen. The two stars are solely for the artists and their exhibits, the delightful character serving up cotton candy and the one vender selling his wares. The CFD Brat Stand was my favorite. Those guys are good. Everything else (rides, etc) were over priced and held together with duct tape. True story. If you do go, go for the Derby or check out the animals. Think carefully before buying wristbands for the kids. It may be cheaper to single ticket the few that are there....

Lots of activities. Derby, tractor pull, carnival rides, and farm animals. Displays for open class and kids' work are fun to see. Fundraising to fix the grandstand which needs repairs.
