I called from Madison, WI and asked if they had a particular sewing machine and I was told yes. I asked the price and was told 2 different prices based on getting lessons or just buying. I was then told they have internet price match too. Perfect! Drove almost hour to the store excited to get my new sewing machine. Got there and I was told she would have to see if there is one in stock. I said I called so there should be. Lady said she talked to me but I never asked if one was in stock. What?!?! Then she came back and said there wasn't one. BUT I could have the one on demo. Said it is new except used for demos and display model. What?!?! Also no box with it. BUT she assured me it was new as it was never taken out of the store. WHAT!?!?! At over $400, this is not what I wanted. Asked for a discounted price as it was used and told no as it is new (clearly doesnt know what new means). So much for trying to support small businesses. I will just go order a NEW ONE IN A BOX AND UNTOUCHED from Amazon. Thanks for wasting my time and fuel. Nice store too and I probably would have come back to do other...

Pretty fabrics and good stock of notions and supplies. Would have loved to wander around more, but the person working when we were in the shop followed us around very closely and talked to us the whole time. My partner is pretty sure she was just trying to be nice, but I got the sense she thought we were going to cause trouble or something since she truly didn't get more than two feet away from us the whole time we were in the store. She kept asking me what kind of machine I used, if my partner was a hunter (HA, we're from Madison, no) and I got the sense she was trying to "find me out" somehow. Very strange. Maybe she was just trying to be friendly but it made for a very weird experience. Comprehensive collection of high quality quilting fabrics, everything you need for notions,rulers etc. I'm amazed at Diane's samples, and how she always has new inspirational displays. She works hard to make your shopping experience special and productive. Organized, well thought out groupings of fabric . Sewing machine repair and maintenance. Good lighting, parking, access.
