DICK'S Sporting Goods — Local services in Portage

I usually buy all of my name brand clothing from there they usually work with you on their coupons but this past holiday season they weren't so nice about it. I had $170. Worth of clothing and they wouldn't let me do 3 different orders cause i had a coupon which was from there reciept survey to get $10 off of $50. I had enough coupons to get $10. Off of 3 orders and she told me they dont like to do that then to top it all off i dont know what rhe girl dif but when i got home i looked at my reciept and she never even took rhe $10 off of my purchase so when i had $30 worth of couppons and got to use none also another thing was i bought a hoody on sale ans it didnt fit so i exchanged it the following week and i was charged $10 MORE for it REALLY?? So in my eyes their service has gone way way down WELL WELL i thought i posted that awhile ago but ive got a new complaint i was there in the shoe dept Sunday 4/7/19 mind you they were a lil busy BUT I sat there in the shoe dept and never once got any help hell I was there to buy some Nike shox but not one time did an employee even acknowledge me and on my way out the door an employee asked if i needed help i said no at first but then I asked her if I could use the coupon i have tomarrow because it exspired that dayshe said i could and then i exsplained why and then she ofdererd to take me back and help me and I told her no thank you caus I basically lost my ambition to shop i just wanted out of that store but i wish i could remember her name she has helped me before and she...

They used to be geared for traditional sports. Unlike their sister company Field & Stream which is tailored specifically for outdoor sportsman. Both of them have chosen to deny our Second Amendment rights by "destroying all of their AR-15's and 30 round magazines" (30 rounds is standard magazine capacity for an AR-15 pattern rifle) Since they have chosen to lobby for gun control I refuse to set foot in either of these stores. Their hypocrisy is absurd. They still carry firearms like the Mini 14 and other higher powerd semiautomatic rifles that dwarf the .223/5.56 NATO in size and lethality. The destruction of their firearms may convince the ignorant gun control folks that they are a company that has morals and is willing to take a stand for their views. You could walk in to a Field and Stream today and buy a host of firearms that are more powerful have the same rate of fire and are capable of doing more damage that a pair of AR pattern rifles combined.

In summary, they sell accessories and chose to associate their brand with to very people who are frantically trying to take our Second Amendment rights away. Field and stream did as well. If your a hunter, hiker, target shooter or gun enthusiast I would look elsewhere to find what ever it is you are looking for.

Dick's has announced that they will no longer sell firearms at any of their locations and further demonstrates their lack of respect for your constitutional rights even if you choose not to...

The cashier girl on 7/18/2025 at noon didn’t want to help me at all, which I am OK, BUT at least, direct another staff to me that can help please.

I asked her with smile “Hi, I am wondering is all head tie here? I only find one here.” She said “I don’t know.” I went back to ask the other staff, and the other staff said all head tie should be in the front. I doubled check the register counter and look up the stock online, which showed there are at least 30 Nike head ties in stock with different colors. None of them at front of course. I went back to talk to the cashier girl and asked her whether she can help me find those head ties, and she said “If they are not in the front, they are not there. You know they could be stolen, stock error, management error, etc.” I insisted as there shouldn’t be all 30 head ties disappearing. She finally talked on her speaker to call another staff to find the head tie. About 5 minutes later, I have my head tie :)

This was the most interesting trip to Dick’s Sporting goods I have had so far. Besides that, everybody else is very nice...
