Pita Way - Portage Mediterranean — Restaurant in Portage

My wife and I ate here yesterday. There were four guys behind the counter, it wasn't very busy, yet nearly every single table in the place was dirty. The store owner! was actually sitting at one of the tables, going over some things with what appeared to be the store/shift manager. Didn't the owner notice that every table was dirty? We had to go from table to table to find the cleanest one. One of the staff asked me, "Are you ready for something delicious?" What he should have asked is, "Are you ready for a night of pure hell?" I had the most intense food poisoning I've experienced for some time and was up all night. Still dealing with the repercussions today and feel achey and sicker than a dog. I'll never eat here again, even though I have some credit remaining on a gift card. My new nickname for this place is "Pain In...

Place : I like how stylish the restaurant is, and the location is really good and easy to find.

Staff : They were professional and friendly.

Food quality : It's ok actually, I've tried so much better Shawarma sandwiches in other places. It had so many pieces of very dry meat.

Prices : This is the obvious downside for this place ! I mean to have just a Shawarma sandwich for about $11 that's too much. And it doesn't come with a side at least. The menu prices also was kind of misleading for me, you would think a side comes included with the entree, but sadly no. You have to pay almost $4 more for any side. I know many other Shawarma places that sells a more delicious Shawarma for a much cheaper price in Kalamazoo.

Overall: If this place keeps these prices like this, I don't think it will last. For me this would be...

This spot is cool but MAN... When I tell you I would have no grievance with coming up in here and spending $50+ for two people to eat good BUT, they took away one of my favorite things to get from here for whatever reason. The Large Fire Fries is a truly goated item that is HEAVY af and definitely for the big back in us all but to share it with someone it's low-key perfect. They stopped maybe because it cost too much to make but you'd be paying almost $15 for it anyway. You can still get the small but it's not the same lol. I rock with their other foods and everything is great overall with having to wait sometimes very understandable as they can get busy. But dawwwg, them fire fries are one of the main reasons I go here. If you got the time and money, definitely pull up and get you a sandweech or a bowl,...
