Books with Pictures a a great comic shop, especially if you have never been in a comic shop. The store is very welcoming with a variety of books for most tastes, and definitely for all ages.
The owner and ataff extremely knowledgeable about comics, and will be able to provide recommendations to please most. If their recommendations aren't good enough, there is a currated collection. Each issue has a note on why you might want to purchase it.
Be sure to follow their social media. Their newsletter is funny and informative. I regularly get informed about new and interesting books to check out.
Books with Pictures is a great comic shop in a city filled with great comic shops.

This is a wonderful part of a city populated with readers, and...

It's nice to have a place where you can take your kid who has finally found things she likes to read, and know that they will gently and kindly be steered away from inappropriate things and towards tons of stuff that they can pick from. It's also nice to know that as she grows up we won't have to find a different shop because there's something for...
