I cannot recommend this experience enough! My family and I did the Shaky Grounds Cafe escape room with Tyler and had a blast! We've done over 50 escape rooms and this one stands as one of our favorites not only because of how fun and unique it was, but because of how well kept and all around clever it was. We've never had a room that actively taught you real, useful emergency preparation facts and then had you use them to complete the game. The fact that it's mobile and can be hosted at any location makes it that much better as employers can use it as both a team building and an emergency prep training opportunity. Don't think that it being mobile means it is cheaply built as you will quickly see that is not the case.
Tyler is also a great GM who works hard to ensure he can get groups in whenever they call and give them a great experience. He is flexible, polite, and has a wicked sense of humor. You can tell he takes pride in his work and truly cares about helping people prepare for emergencies in a way that is fun and memorable.
Don't miss your chance to play through this experience or give your employees to experience an escape room together without the hassle of finding parking at a mall or random location. Its well worth it and an...
Read moreI do not normally write reviews, but this escape room deserves a detailed, five-star review! Tyler, the owner and creator, was nice on the phone and allowed a quick same day booking. The escape room provided a lot of interesting puzzles - some I have never seen before despite this being my fourth escape room. The pacing was fantastic featuring lots of parallel and team-oriented puzzles. Everyone in my group was able to be contributing something the entire time or working directly together on a few that required people multiple hands. We also were occupied the entire time with a bit of a lull only at the end when we were down to two final puzzles. This escape room is also unique being in a mobile trailer (so you can rent it for events!). It looks small from the outside, but packs a large experience with two rooms and a high amount of objectives. The theme was, without spoiling it, very practical and realistic and you actually walk away with some useful knowledge. Overall, its great value, has high puzzle volume, perfect pacing, a variety of difficulty levels, and satisfied my group which consisted of beginners and veterans. I highly...
Read moreSeriously the best escape room experience I have ever had! Tyler is an Emmy winning production designer and it shows in this engaging, exciting, and detailed experience that actually might teach you something about survival. In fact, when discussing it afterwards, my friends and I agreed that the real-world scenario in this escape room (which you actually aren’t trying to “escape” from, by the way) added impact and motivation to complete it. Once inside, you are completely immersed in the story.
As far as difficulty goes, I went with a group of 5 peers for my 37th birthday and we were able to complete it in around 50 minutes, so it is definitely not easy (full disclosure: we did fail one of the challenges and it had to be reset for us), but also not impossible!
The host and creator, Tyler, is also super chill and wants you to succeed - and be ready for the Cascadia...
