Staples — Local services in Portland

I want to give a BIG shout out to Matthew at the Jantzen Beach Staples store. I visited on 8/16/24 as I was having difficulty finding a supported power cord for my HP AIO Desktop. I had not received much help from Best Buy, where I had purchased the PC. I was about to leave Staples when Matthew asked if I needed assistance. I told him what I was looking for, and he brought me to some HP powercords. He could have convinced me to make the purchase, but he didn't because they were noted for use with laptops. Best Buy didn't sway me from the purchase and assured me it would work, and it didn't. Matthew said that he might have something in the back room. A few moments later, he showed up with an HP powercord from a model unit. He said it's free! Kudos Matthew for caring and taking time to truly help a customer!

Even though the HP cord didn't end up solving the problem because it doesn't have the smart pin in it, it did rekindle my faith in people. I will definitely frequent...

I hardly ever paid any attention to Staples in the past, other than knowing that the LA Lakers play at the Staples Center. Today has likely just changed that. We went to the so called "BestPurchase" store in Jantzen Beach, only to be abruptly stopped at the entrance and forced to deal only through one store helper to have our questions answered... all to no avail since they basically did not have what we wanted, a printer. That whole transaction was nothing short of abrupt. We looked online to check out all our options, and one of us noticed a Staples store a short walk away. Not only could we just walk in and shop, but they were noticeably welcoming and friendly. What a choice they had in stock, whereas the other store was allegedly sold out of nearly every printer we might have considered. It was such a breath of fresh air to shop at Staples, and they were so friendly and helpful on...

I just left from an amazing experience with Kyra!!! When I walked into their store I was so terrified, because I didn't know where to start with all of the things I needed and hoped I can meet a kind salesperson who'd take the time to help. I knew that I needed a lot of items (laptop/printer, etc.) but didn't know which one's were the right choices for work/school and I wasn't sure what was best for me. Not only Kyra was knowledgeable but she took the time to answer all of my questions and she helped ease my mind about all of my concerns with my new purchase. On top of everything else, she alleviated my stress even more and saved me the trouble when she kindly offered to get my new laptop ready for me. Thank you so much Kyra for all of your help! ...
