Extremely interested in their clothing line. Was delighted to hear of the store opening in N. Portland. Not convenient, living a ways south of Portland. Made a special trip today, Saturday, 7/28/18, to get a better idea of the line before buying. Was wearing their general style of clothing - a Columbia sportswear button-up shirt, cargo shorts, etc. Staff behavior was strange. Felt treated in one area more like a suspected shoplifter than a prospective valued customer -- the back area where I spent a fair amount of time due to great interest in the products there, the shorter woman with short mostly gray hair never approached me to ask if I could use any support. At one point, she just stared directly at me from about 15 feet away, kind of through a rack of shirts. And there was no other customer in that area the entire time I was there, except for one for a matter of seconds. One young woman in a different area greeted me quite kindly, though a bit oddly. Was trying to figure out the various offerings of men's underwear, and spent some time in that area but no-one approached to help me understand. The store was not very busy at all, so it is not clear why things went the way they did... I do believe that I will buy their products at some point, most likely when discounted (black friday??), but maybe only online. The in-store customer service at this location may need a major overhaul. And why were there no Medium sizes available in the shirts I found most interesting? There appeared to be a plethora of...
Read moreI've been an avid Duluth fan for years now. I've always had good service and sizes were predictable. I loved Duluth so much that it's the only company I buy new clothes from. I literally buy all my other stuff from Goodwill, unless I need something nicer or more durable and then I go to Duluth. I live in WA so there's not a store near me and I have to make all purchases online. The last order I placed with them took over ONE MONTH to arrive. I asked why it was taking so long and they said items were on backorder. There was no indication that items were out of stock, let alone backorder. Furthermore, I never got an email indicating backorder, so I was just left to guess for a month. When I emailed Duluth about this they gave me a pitiful excuse and did nothing to try and make things right. In fact, they never responded to my 2nd email and just started to ghost me once I told them I was disappointed. Also upsetting, to a much lesser extent, is the sizing changes. I have been ordering the same size of their foreman pants for years and they've always been spot on. The last set I got were much too large and I had to exchange them for a smaller size that I would not fit into for any other Duluth order, or even other companies. This exchange is what took Duluth over one month. For the price I pay for their clothes, I expect better service. I'm disappointed in Duluth enough on how they handled the situation that I'll seriously consider other alternatives...
Read moreBought a Jacket as a Christmas gift for my father. Upon trying it on, 2 of the snap buttons flew apart, never to be seen again. I emailed for a replacement button as my father lives in a rural area where getting to Fedex is not easy. I was told via email that they dont send replacement buttons but that I could buy replacement buttons for them.
I then called, because thats a ridiculous statement to make. After spending an hour on hold I spoke with a very lovely customer support agent. She was great. She put me on hold to speak with her supervisor. After another 20 minutes the line disconnected and went straight into their survey. i received no call back or follow up.
Called back the following work day and spent 40 minutes waiting for an agent. Again, spoke with a lovely agent who did her best. Once again put on another 20 minute hold while they spoke with their supervisor.
Found out that, not only do they not carry replacement snap buttons but the jacket is no longer stocked. I cant even do an exchange. Nowhere on the website for black friday did it list the jacket as clearance or going out of stock.
I cant recommend them to anyone and am in fact so turned off by this experience that I dont even want a BS response to...
