SERVICE & CHECKIN $20 early check in fee; bold considering the competition in the area & slow workflow. No tap payment support either. The staff are cordial at least, almost to a fault. Housekeeping was frustrating: Long waits for towels & they ignore the DnD sign. No late checkout (YMMV) LOBBY, ELEVATOR, CORRIDORS Beautifully festive & clean during our "Halloween Hotel tour". A tremendous amount of social space in this one & the halls are huge. Elevators are just painfully slow, but spacious. ROOM (suite) https://youtu.be/svgmwI5OVIE Modern & spacious suite that provided good lighting, storage, functional windows. Seating options were plentiful & comfortable. The dedicated workspace was also noteworthy but this isn't a great place for remote work. Terminal AC wasn't performant; takes a long~~ time to circulate air in this configuration. BED We slept comfortably on the BeautyRest King. The duvet was very thin considering the microclimate & underperforming AC. Everything else was great: clean, soft, & breathable cotton sheets; pillows with great loft, support, & a good fill. BATH Half bath setup with good cleaning standards. The design felt awkward initially, due to the vanity being right next to the entrance. The positioning for the other half actually works out so you're able to watch TV from the shower-- very nice! The shower was streamlined, featuring the sliding glass walkin design. This one turned out to be more enjoyable than expected! Water pressure was good throughout & House-brand bath products were stocked inside. TV & ENTERTAINMENT 2 throwback ~40" RCA TVs on swivel stands with basic programming. You don't see these often outside of Oregon, but the quality is good. They do need to be repositioned since it's difficult to control one TV without the signal being received by both. WI-FI & CELL RECEPTION Oof; Non-performant would be an understatement. Record low cell reception & dismal WiFi. Low throughput, high lag, frequent timeouts, & lots of disconnects... --Performance-- Video streaming - average Online gaming - average Video chatting - average --Nerd Stats-- 1-16 Mbps download 3-22 Mbps upload 0% packet loss 45 ms latency 85 ms jitter FOOD & DRINK Contactless DoorDash supported! Full Breakfast available between 7-11. Warning: They're heavy on the salt... but the foods are cooked well & coffee is decent. They also sponsor a Happy hour. Magic chef microwave, Large mini fridge, coffee & water for in-room amenities. Ice machines on floor. NOISE Peaceful environment outside, but loud hallway groups & thin walls were frustrating to endure. LOCATION A cluster of shopping centers, retail stores, & other hotels in the area. There's also a dispensary within walking distance! VERDICT Highs & lows were abundant with this one. In the end, It did not win me over due to noise, fees & inadequate internet access, but it's far from terrible or warranting hyperbole. I'd explore other properties in the area before settling on this one, especially if Internet or remote work matter to you. There's good competition in the vicinity. 3.5/5 ⭐️

Run...do not stay unless you don't mind the noise and low quality. When we got to our room it was so sad and worn and dark. I truly was surprised. The decorating was garish - like back from the 60s, the headboards were chipped, and the headboards had grease stains that looked like from someone's head. There was an evident leak in the bathroom ceiling as it had a large bubble and there was a hole in it. It was evident that this was not a "new" leak, and surely should have been fixed. The toilet continually ran and we had to continue to flip the toilet handle repeatedly after use to get it to stop. The internet kept going out every 10-15 seconds both days - so much for being able to use our laptop!!! The air conditioner was loud and belted out noise every time it came on as did the refrigerator, which rattled throughout the day and night. And then were the paper thin walls and ceilings where every conversation in the next door room could be heard, and the elephants and little hellions running and jumping upstairs was deafening at times. We asked the hotel for help to settle the upstairs noise down - even just a wee bit - but were told that the the hotel quite time didn't start until 10 pm. It's clear the hotel is very aware of their noise problem as the sell a large bucket of ear plugs right next to the front desk. While some of the issues we had may seem insignificant, when you add them all together, it's unacceptable. BTW...we did not reach out to the hotel (other than the noise request) about the other items during our stay as it would not have done any good. We had a wheelchair accessible room (for our son who is a quadriplegic) and I had been told it was the only one available. I would have mentioned them at check-out but when I approached the desk (two women working, and I was the only one there) I was only told to put my room keys on int he basket - no question was asked by either employee, "How was your stay?". I wanted to like this hotel and was so excited about staying there, but that just didn't happen. The check-in process went smooth and the front desk staff friendly and helpful. The lobby area was nice, clean and cheery. The breakfast was tasty, and the lounge area and complimentary drink we welcoming. Unfortunately, that's where the good stopped. While I am sure there are those people who can overlook all the above, we were not able to. We do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Overall we were very happy with our stay. We were traveling on vacation and booked the hotel on a whim. The individual we spoke with was very accommodating and helped us reserve a room quickly and easily. Once you check in and get your room key you are able to access their gated parking lot. This was an amazing feature I’ve not experienced at many hotels! The hotel itself was very well kept. It was clean and felt inviting the moment you step inside. The room followed suit being very clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable! We also enjoyed the stand-in shower with dual heads. The gym is very well stocked and again was kept very clean. The equipment was in good condition and offered several options for an extensive workout. The pool area looked very nice with a hot tub and sauna. The staff we interacted with were all incredibly kind and courteous. The complementary breakfast was also something I’ve not experience at many hotels as they had an omelet bar. Simply take a slip of paper, select your options, and the chef makes it for you right there! They also had a variety of options including eggs, potatoes, sausage, turkey sausage, French toast, yogurt, etc. The only downside that prevented this from being a 5 star review was the lack of food preparation/restocking for the breakfast. While having an omelet bar was awesome, there were only two cooks focusing on breakfast. This meant one focused only on omelets while the other had to prepare and maintain the rest of the breakfast bar. When we first went up there was no sausage, French toast, or yogurt. While the sausage and French toast did eventually get filled, they also disappeared just as quick. The yogurt never got refilled the entire time we were eating. Now I understand that staffing is still a big concern many places and it’s possible the hotel is understaffed, but I did still wish to call it out. Apart from that we thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and regardless of the minor breakfast concern we would definitely stay here again!

Overall a good stay. Some good things about the hotel and some things could be better as well.

The rooms are bright and spacious enough with plenty of usb and outlets, the bathrooms come with walk in showers and the washroom sink is outside in the main room. There’s no fan in the bathroom so it can get quite humid in the bathroom and in your room as there’s nowhere for the steam to go. The beds are comfy, sheets are soft and plenty of pillows to get yourself comfortable. Also had blackout blinds. There is a fridge and microwave, though the fridge is just barely hanging on as it’s not really keeping things cold. There’s a little slot for a freezer and the popsicles we had in there just melted to liquid as it can’t keep it cold enough. Also, you could feel the shakes in the bed from the washer and dryer in the laundry room downstairs in close vicinity. Fine if you’re into some light movement of your bed and rumbling white noise all night. We had a noise machine on for our kid anyways so it wasn’t too big of a bother but i can anticipate it would be for some folks.

Unfortunately while the hotel is non smoking, second hand smoke does still get into your room if people smoke outside, as the ac unit pulls air from outside and there doesn’t seem to be a designated smoking area. So it was really disappointing to have our child down sleeping only to begin smelling cigarette smoke in our room as people smoke in the parking lot below (which surrounds the hotel itself). So your only option is to off to turn off your ac in hopes to reduce second hand smoke but in turn bake in your room.

Housekeeping did a good job of the room. They only tidy and replenish every Monday and Thursday.

The pool is pretty chilly but they provide pool towels and there’s a dry sauna. The hot tub wasn’t really hot, it was more of a warm tub with jets and oddly, green-brown in color.

Breakfast is from 6-9am and it’s great if you come early. But if you get there anytime 45 mins before closing they don’t replenish food and will only keep out some scrambled egg, oatmeal and maybe some hash potatoes. We went down the second day at 8:20am and the omelet station was already cleaned up and put away - they weren’t taking any orders. Not sure why they advertise till 9am if they remove options that much earlier.

They give you a chit for evening reception which is from 4:30-7:30pm, basically a free alcoholic beverage and a snack. But on each occasion we went down, they said snacks weren’t available. (One lady said snacks aren’t provided on weekends, and the other said they weren’t serving any that day). If that’s the case, I would suggest the team just remove the inclusion of the snack from the chit to set expectations.

Location of right off the highway so east access to Vancouver or...

I didn’t want to write this review but felt like I needed too! The bartender was a middle age white male was was super rude! SUPER!! The hotel offers complementary drinks if it’s your first time there wand it was my first time and so that was offer, the paper clearly says they offer you a house cocktail, wine or beer. When I went to get a drink the bartender was in a conversation with another women that was there, so I just wanted which was fine, but then when he finally acknowledged me he just opened his eyes wider and looked at me and didn’t say hi can I help you or nothing, so I ask for a drink and I had the wrong paper and was super rude about it, telling me that first off I need to have the correct paper and go back to the front desk and get another one and then walked away. I was so embarrassed so I just walked away and then later that night i got the right paper and tried to get a drink and he said they don’t offer cocktails and just beer or cheap wine - his words, so then I went to the front desk and asked what does it mean for a house cocktail? The 2 employees at the front desk called the bartender and asked him and then the bartender just walked passed them and didn’t answered and they had to stop him and ask him again and then he explained in a rude way, and explained that the house cocktail was just a juice with 1 cheap liquor and I proceeded to say so that’s a cocktail and he said yes, I said ok! Perfect! Thank you!!

Then I proceeded to go to the bar and get a drink and he ignored me for like 5 mins and then gave me his attention, I asked him for a vodka and cranberry and I also ask for a cosmo, he proceeded to make the cranberry drink, just made it with so much madness, then just placed the cups on the counter and pushed them my way, then he was making my cosmo but throwing all the stuff, then dropped the whole cup and rolled his eyes and I told him, you know what nevermind! It’s not worth it and walked away.

The rooms were clean and nice, only thing is that they don’t offer room service until your third night there.

Then I was locked out my room and the security went to use his master key and it did not work and then they had to make another key which they did and still did not work, the mechanic sensor was not working and took us a while to get back into our room.

The people at the front desk was amazing but was super frustrated with the bartender and the sensor on our door...
