Aaron's Rent To Own — Local services in Portsmouth

My boyfriend and I came to order a dresser. The young man in the front advised they had no furniture available in the store so we had to choose online for it to be ordered. The lady in the back with dreadlocks came to the front and started flirting with my boyfriend. She said she was the manager when later we found out she was not. We paid for the entire dresser, no financing. We were told it would arrive Thursday between 4pm-8pm. The lady went to the back with the large glass window. I noticed her watching me and my boyfriend interact with each other as we looked at sectional sofas. Fast forward to Thursday our furniture never came, we called the shop over and over but no answer. Friday we got a call stating the furniture never arrived at the store but it should be delivered before 4pm. We waited, nothing came. We called back and they advised it should arrive by 5pm. It never arrived. We called and asked for a refund. It was then we were advised by the agent over the phone the lady with the dreadlocks who flirted with my boyfriend was not a manager. She was all up in my boyfriend's face but could NOT do her job and deliver furniture we paid outright for. My boyfriend said we will never do business with AARON'S again. I hate this particular Aaron's. The staff is ghetto and unprofessional. I have been trying to give them their TVs back for over a month now. They went into my account unauthorized and took my money. Now when I go to get a refund they wanna give me the run around. The Assistant manager Shante is very shady. He told me that the store wasn't open on Wednesday, December 26th because he was working and didn't want to refund me my money. When I went there today to get a refund they are gonna tell me, oh I'm sorry but only the manager can do refund and he just went to break and won't be back until like an hour. Really....... So you leave the store with no manager and the manager is the only one that can do refunds? Really.... Do not do business with this Aaron's. I wanted to do 3/4 of a star but that option was not available!!! Poor customer service, unprofessional staff...

Aaron’s was a place I loved to do business with. I have always referred people to them. Lately things have changed. The people there are snappy and rude no customer support at all. The accounts department manager has no respect for anyone he is very snappy rude disrespectful and all in all an arrogant person. It makes no sense the attitude that he has towards paying customers. To have been a loyal customer and be deceived on my payout amount makes me believe they are pocketing money for themselves on merchandise that won’t last past 4 years due to it being made by woodhaven and is assembled in store by techs with no experience. I honestly would rate this store negative but I can’t. I would advise everyone to keep up with their receipts due to money not adding up on my...
