Paid $100 to get a screen fixed on a iPhone 13. When picking up the phone the repairman informed me that the phone needs to be reset because “of electronic things touching while repairing the phone”. (Why didn’t they remove the battery before repairing if this is a common problem?)
I was told I would need a laptop or computer with iTunes to reset it. They then offered to reset it for an additional $50.
My son was able to reset it by himself by pressing “forgot password” and entering his Apple ID .
I feel I was taken advantage of.
