Stairway to Heaven Comics — Local services in Portsmouth

Just a wonderful shop. It's become my home shop for two reasons: 1) geographically it's closer to me, and 2) Brad and the staff are just super nice and awesome.

They are always willing to give recommendations. The customer is always greeted when you walk in (it seems small, but this just goes a long way). You're given space to shop, but the staff will happily chat with you if you so choose. Even the gaming events, the people seem nice.

The selection is great. Marvel and DC comics are there, but it's a store that really likes to show off work that the other companies are doing. There's a nice selection of kids-to-YA comics, books, and toys. There's a section for local work. Recommendations on the wall of issues of the week. Older comics, tabletop gaming stuff.

It's easy to get lost in here and spend sometime browsing and chatting with the staff. Highly...

Can't say enough good things about this place. Was only in the area for my daughter's softball practice so I thought I'd check it out and support an LCS. The set up is great... great for digging, spaced well and very clean. Really solid selection and the back issues I purchased where found to be in outstanding condition when I got them home. The pricing on the back issue comics was extremely fair. The gentleman working the register (who I assume was the owner) was very inviting and helpful. I appear like a ghost in the night at this comic shop every few months. i buy all the volumes i need in bulk, then dip. this is the only comic store i will ever buy from. Let me list some reasons why: Savings! I've saved a nice amount of money from buying from here because they give out 10 dollars store credit for every 100 dollars you spend, which does add up if you spend alot on comics. Also! They buy and sell used comics! Ive sold many manga here and ive bought alot of used manga in good condition for cheap. Safe space for the gay girlies and guys: bro, i cannot tell you how wide my eyes went when i saw they had a yuri manga section. 10/10 thank you for that!!!
