I went to NAO because I had a trigger finger. I called for an appointment and told the receptionist that I had a trigger finger and that I wanted to know if they took my insurance and I wanted a doctor who could give me a steroid injection . When I arrived I had an appointment with Jamie, the Pa and I immediately liked her. She gave me my injection and then wanted to know the history of my hands. I told her that I had had a nerve test in January and what the results of that was. I also told her I was going to make an appointment with my hand doctor down in the valley. She wanted to know why I was waiting and I said he doesn't get back from his vacation until the next Monday. She explained the procedure for Carpel Tunnel Surgery and that they did both hands at the same time. By the time I left I had an appointment for the surgery. DO NOT WAIT, if you have carpel tunnel, give them a call and get it done. Dr. Mellinger is great. I didn't want to be put to sleep as I wanted to watch the surgery, so I had local anesthesia. It took Dr Mellinger less than 10 minutes to do both hands and I walked out with a bandage on both hands that had to be on for 5 days . I had full use of my hands and did not have any problems. If I had to have it done again, {1. I would not wait {2. have both hands done at the same time and I would have {3. {NAO and the staff do...
Read moreThe receptionists here are quite possibly the rudest I've ever experienced. Twice in a row I was late (5-8 min max) because I couldn't find the place. The first appointment I was able to get in, this morning im told I need to wait for over an hour to get in. 5 minutes should not bump me to an appointment with an hour+ wait time. Im not from here and I get lost. Its kinda tucked away and my navigation doesn't locate the entrance properly. My first appointment, as I'm standing at the desk with a sign posted behind me that says "DO NOT REMOVE YOUR MASK FOR ANY REASON" a receptionist tells me to remove my mask for a photo. I said no and was met with attitude. I was then handed a filthy clipboard with papers to fill out. I asked for her to clean it please. More attitude. When I saw the Dr she was wearing a mask at least two times too big for her face, she was very close to me, maybe 6 inches, and kept pulling the mask down while speaking to me. I have a growth on my lung, still as yet to be identified and the Dr is aware of that. Absolutely not following covid guidelines. Im very upset. I will see the Dr today after my hour+ punishment for being 5 minutes late. Then I'll have my Dr send a referral to another Orthopedic Dr. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. Absolutely no reason for front desk staff to be rude and uncaring. If this place is one of a few options, go...
Read moreI saw Dr POULSON today, and it was an excellent visit as he told me what was the cause of my horrible left foot pain. I mean pain that will make you get off your foot as fast as you can. Turned out my daughter and grand daughter both have to same painful condition. I.m going to use prosthetics for both feet for a good long trial, and if it still hurts I.ll get the surgery the Dr. told me about. Believe me this pain is horrible and if surgery will fix it, then that.s what I.ll do. Dr POULSON, and the staff all exceeded my expectations. I.m glad I went to see him, he told me more in one visit than a bunch of appointments to another Podiatrist very nearby 10-2-24 follow up: Well I got my orthotics from Hanger and I had felt all along it was made wrong, he and his tech., were ticked as Hanger totally did not follow his directions. The 400$ orthotics Hanger made did not have enough arch to support a Chihuahua. Dr Paulson is making a totally new set from a shop in Flagstaff, with two free adjustments. What do I think of Dr Paulson?. I think he.s friendly, smart, talented, sticks to his code of excellence for orthotics and patient care. I trust him and his tech., she.s detail oriented too . I am a happy...
