We will never return back to Spicy Streats. April 13th, I placed a Catering Order with them of $315. and some change. It was to be picked up the 23rd for my Daughter's "Sweet 18th Birthday Party" and when I placed the order on-line via their web-site, the ONLY form of payment was PayPal and that was how I paid the $315.+. I got my Order Confirmation Receipt. We had to push the time of our party back and so I e-mailed them asking if we could pick our order up 2 hours later than the time I had requested, so instead of 1:15 p.m., 3:15 p.m. and NO response. So. I called in two (2) days before and I was assured that would not be a problem and that was the end of that. Saturday, the 23rd, my Husband went in to pick our order up 45-mins. before the party start time for my Daughter and they gave him ONLY $190.+ worth of food, stating the Order payment never went through, but that only the $190.+ went through and that they EVEN CALLED and SPOKE TO ME about it, which was 100% false. I NEVER spoke to ANYone about this matter, ONLY about the time change. So. Speeding up, FINALLY, they gave my Husband our Order, but we were missing two (2) proteins I ordered and our Large Green Salsa. My Husband was back home, late, to his OWN Daughter's "Sweet 18th Birthday Party", which was VERY upsetting to us and I was SO stressed and anxious, I was getting tears. They EVEN told him that they would probably have to charge our card AGAIN for the $315.+ amount, despite showing them our Bank Account WITH the charge. 4 days LATER, AFTER my Daughter's Party, Spicy Streats FINALLY accepted my $315.+ Catering Order payment via PayPal, discovering, FINALLY that they were actually in the wrong and not US, their Customer. NO longer will we ever be a Customer now after this experience with them. It caused a LOT of undue Anxiety and Stress. Never again for US. Horrible experience with them. NOT. ONE. phone call to apologize for ANY of it...
Read moreThe food is great but the customer service is horrendous. When I went to pay for my order the cashier automatically hit the 20% for a tip. I think that the amount of tip should be up to the customer. Luckily I caught that she did that or my food would have cost 70.00 for 3 people. I did give a tip of 5.00 which I feel is sufficient for walk up service. When we were called to pick up the food, we were missing one of our taco plates. I asked the kitchen and they had no idea what I was talking about. They did not show a second taco plate. Since they had not prepared the food, I went to the cashier to ask for a refund and she rolled her eyes at me and told me to talk to the kitchen. By the time my taco plate was ready, the other people eating with me were almost finished. I ended up taking my food home with me. 😫 I would suggest if you are looking for the experience when eating out, as well as good food you try somewhere else. This place made me loose my appetite based solely on their customer...
Read moreSorry. It was not good. The elote had way too much cayenne and no discernable cotija. The taco with "spicy chicken" was bland and soggy. I did online order and pick up. Arrived early for my pick up time and my food was already on the pick up shelf. Have no idea how long it had been sitting there. But it was quite cold. Unmasked employees and unmasked to-go customers. I'm not the mask police. To each is own with that. But it was not good optics on top of the cold food. This was my second time at Spicy Streats. The first time there the cashier was coughing and sneezing and quite obviously very under the weather. It was before covid, but I walked out anyway. People shouldn't work with food when they are that sick. I'm going to try it again. Have heard such good things about this place for a couple of years now. Maybe its just my bad luck. Anyway 3rd time will either be the charm or the strike...
