Pampered Princess Spa — Local services in Proviso Township

We had pampered princess spa come to our home yesterday for my daughter’s 5th birthday and we were very disappointed. We were informed an hour before the party at 11am they were going to be late. It started at noon, but I had the kids over at 11 doing a few other things.

This text is what I sent the owner... Hi there I want to start off saying, my daughter and her friends said they had fun, but as a parent, I was disappointed in the level of service provided. Yes, the weather was awful, but as a business owner you should ensure your vehicle is working and start it the day before. The paint was terribly peeling off the van on the outside and it wasn't clean. The picture online showed the bus pristine and clean on the inside. In person, there was nail polish all over all of the seats and it looked simply unkept. You said you had a helper taking an Uber that didn't show. The floor was wet and dirty from the kids boots so I didn't want them standing much, dancing and slipping. Please consider putting down a runner next time or disposable foam flip flops during rain/snow like weather. I had an end time on the invite leaving room for happy birthday and cupcakes inside after nails and I was very rushed when I got off the bus as some parents had to leave. It was very rocky and makes me sad and disappointed considering I still paid $350. If your bus isn’t up to par and you are getting a new one, I’d recommend waiting to do mobile parties when that one is done. My daughter and her friends were 5 so they didn’t know much better, but my nieces that were 8 and 10 said it was dirty, not many polish choices and no interaction from you. That’s their perspective from a kid’s point of view which I think is important to share. I did not discuss my disappointment around them either. I wish I inquired what constituted a mini mani and mini pedi. It was simply a polish. I assumed soaking the feet like pictured online would be part of a pedi, but I take responsibility not asking exactly what’s included. Again, my daughter had fun, and that’s what’s important, but service provided that day did not coincide with your rate. Thank you

Hello I’m sorry that you were disappointed. But I have had the bus for over a year and I’m pretty busy with it. So It is normal wear and tear on it. We do a lot of painting and deal with a lot of polish. And as far as the outside again normal wear and tear especially with the weather being as is. I get my painting on the bus outside touched up in the summer. I don’t get my bus re-hose every time a kid waste paint or nail polish in it. The pictures I posted are the pictures I take. They are not something old they are preset. I did do pedicure bowls in the beginning but the kids keep knocking them over wasting water everywhere. And I did Inform you that bus needed a jump because it was very cold and I couldn’t get anyone until Saturday morning. I apologize but my bus will have normal wear and tear. I am dealing with kids and a whole lot of them. My worker that didn’t show up the Uber canceled her ride. Again something that I couldn’t control. I still tried my best to provide you with my services. But me dealing with kid I know this bus or my next bus will not stay perfect. But I don’t complain I deal with it

The party was not very organized. She did not clearly explain what was included in the party package, and attempted to charge me more the day before the party. I never received my invitations. I had to get them made myself after I kept calling and texting her to see where the invitations were. After promising to have them she called and gave an excuse as to why she didn't have them and sent me a terrible invitation she had rushed and made on PhotoGrid. I was only given ten dollars off a 550 dollar party, for that inconvenience. They were still setting up when my party should have started, but seemed to rush us out and started giving manicures on two walk-in customers while we were still there! Instead of cleaning up before their next party which was set to start start in less than 30 minutes It was noticeably hot in there, to the point some of the parents began to complain. I got there 15 mins before my party started and the bathroom was still dirty, then she seemed upset with the fact I brought it to her attention. You could tell the floors had not been swept or moped. For the money I paid I felt I should have received more and better service. She seems to be a nice person but she does not handle her business well. The girls spent quite a bit of time running around aimlessly because it wasn't enough workers available to render the spa services on the girls. She should have had more people working and or some type of activity in between for the girls to do. Would not recommend this...

Perfect place for the ultimate girl party! I knew after speaking to Laticia (the owner) one time that we were going to have my daughter’s birthday here. She was quick to respond, super organized, and you could tell she truly cared. The venue is clearly great for a variety of ages but my girl was turning 5 and on the younger side. Laticia and her girls were so great with the small kiddos. Patient, thorough, and hyped them up! The spa was super clean and there were so many cute details. My daughter will surely talk about this party for the rest of the year. Thank you, Laticia and team! You make dreams...
