Blue Note Jazz Club — Restaurant in Proviso Township

I believe this is an over 25/30 club but if it's not it's the atmosphare definitely suggests it is and They're definitely doing more then jazz. Lots of Keith Sweat, Juvenile, Lil Wyane and a lot of favorites from the late 90s and early to mid 2000s jams! Stuff that ppl over 30s perfer to hear. This was on a Saturday and I've heard they do have the live Jazz sometimes on other days. The people and the staff were friendly, Jim shoes were allowed so dress code was laid back. Drinks were slow to come so they do need more bartenders but they packed a PUNCH so I gave that a 4 star. I haven't been out in so long that I went alone planning to stay for no longer then an hour but ended up there until nearly closing because I had so much and felt so safe. At 40 it felt like a big high-school reunion and everyone was just there to have fun. None of the b.s I remember being an issue when I was "clubin" in my younger days. Their customers still parking on private property as 2/18. They go as far as parking in front of garages causing property owners to go in the Blue Note to get them to move; just awful. The customers get ugly with you, swearing and even claming they are a police officer when you tell them to move. The owner of the Blue Note should make announcements every hour telling their customers they don't own the property down the alley and don't park behind garages; park on the street....

Visited this establishment on Sunday May 25 for a person celebrating their Birthday. It was more than 20 of us that came together. Bottles were purchased from the bar for $300 each and the bartender refused to supply a pitcher of water at our request. The bartender was extremely rude. Not friendly or focused on providing good customer service. This was our first and last time visiting this establishment I do not recommend and would have given 0 stars if that...
