Steer clear if you need any info beyond the most basic about your prescriptions. I have a dairy allergy and cannot take medications with lactose in them. When filling a prescription for a medication Iāve taken for 25 years, I was given a bottle with no insert and the label showed a new manufacturer. When I went to Google the ingredients I found the manufacturer no longer exists, and the description of the pill on the website of the company who acquired their products did not match what I had.
I went in to speak with a pharmacist who, without showing me the ingredients, told me he knew it had no dairy protein because his daughter has a dairy allergy and takes it. When I pressed about lactose, he said āwell thatās like a gluten thing right?ā No sir, lactose is a dairy derived sugar. Still unable to produce the insert, he showed me that the pills in my bottle matched his, unwilling to address my concern about them having a different imprint than what the manufacturer listed online. And! Still no ingredients. Turns out they didnāt actually have the insert ā which is ridiculous to me. Why do they not have that? Then he questioned whether I frequently encounter dairy products in medications, looked incredulous when I said yes, all the time, and asked me ālike what?ā How does a pharmacist not know how common this is? So I told him for example, the higher dose formula of this very drug we were arguing about has lactose in it ā itās why I take the dose I do. And he came back with āwell my daughter takes that one.ā Ok man, good for your daughter but Iām not going to put something my doctor advised I avoid into my body based on your advice, especially when two minutes ago, you, parent of a dairy allergic child didnāt know what lactose was. He didnāt offer to look up the information or reach out to the company to get the ingredients, he just acted like I was annoying him and asked if I wanted to ādo my own researchā ā so I left and will be transferring my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis used to be the best pharmacy, but these last few months have been absolutely awful. I have never felt more judged by medical "professionals". If your pharmacists think I enjoy the amount of medications I am on, what types of medications I am on, and how often I need to come in for new meds, you are wrong. I am currently in the worst period of my life health wise, and being told constantly "I'm only going to fill this once" or "Your scripts need to start coming from your primary and not the emergency room" or "You were just on this med, taken off it by him, and now a new doctor is prescribing it? Can you see why we're questioning it?" it's just wearing me down. I have left this location crying from how judged I have been.
I have a terminal illness and am just trying to get through my day with a tolerable level of pain and anxiety, but I can't when your pharmacists refuse to fill my scripts because the ER writes them. Brian is the only decent employee this location has. You should be sending Frank and every female pharmacist for a day to a hospice for a lesson in compassion with medication, because you all have made dying feel like an...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIn the past, Pharmacy staff has been great however it appears theyāve had some turnover. 9/28 Replied Yes to text for refill, recād text back itāll be filled. Didnāt hear anything so I called Wed 10/9 - automated system said it was still being worked on?! Called again, spoke w Pharmacist who checked, said it was ready. Told her I did NOT receive text to pick up - she said that doesnāt happen w NAME BRAND? Makes no sense! Let her know Iād be in Thurs - went in 10/10, was told RX wasnāt ready?! While I tried to explain what happened, Pharm Tech Joanna didnāt want to hear it, spoke over me & cut me off. Meanwhile the Pharmacist hung out in the background, didnāt say a word - allowing Joanna to be rude. She informed me RX was put back that Thurs. a.m. (by silent pharmacist). I was NOT told on Wed call I had to come in, otherwise it would be retd. RX refilled, & surprise- recd text while waiting it was ready - apparently that box was NOT checked on my Acct. Needless to say, Joanna needs an attitude adjustment - if I spoke to my customers that way, Iād be written up or fired!...
