Mr. Submarine — Restaurant in Proviso Township

I was there at a pretty busy lunch hour. Team seemed friendly and tried to work as quickly as possible. I got the Cream of chicken rice and a reg. corned beef sub. My co-worker got the reg. ham and cheese. She said they were light on the ham and thought the one down Mannheim in Bellwood had more oomph. I agree. But they have been doing it for a long time. Here's my issues and hopefully you can take them into account for training purposes. The chicken soup was different, not as creamy as I expected but good none the less. I would order again and look forward to trying more of their soups. My sub...well this is where they need work. Hardly any sauce and where it was lacked flavor. seemed they put everything in the middle of the sub and left the end (which I pulled off) completely dry of everything. So if you clump all the meat in the middle maybe it doesn't look like there isn't enough meat? Anyone who goes to a Mr. Sub knows they weigh out the meat, I just wish it covered all the bread. But the flavor of the oil/sauce helps. It won't stop me from trying again. I will give the sub another shot and ask for extra sauce if that helps. I visited around 13:30 on a polluted Wednesday afternoon after finishing business at the Credit Union next door. I had the place to myself.

Very polite staff and they got my order correct. It's sad that the ability to get an order correct should be a commendable attribute of a place, but that's how things are these days.

The drive-through window is something others might consider important. I cannot recall having seen one at a Mr. Sub, but that might be because I never looked for one.

"Greek fries" was something I'd never seen before. It's basically semi-soggy fries with a bunch of feta cheese crumbled over them and maybe a hint of salad dressing. Not bad at all.

Prices and sandwiches are pretty much the same as other Mr. Sub locations.

It might be an illusion, but from the inside, this looks like the largest Mr. Submarine I've ever visited. My wife tells me it used to be family restaurant of some sort.

I’ve been trying to obtain a refund for a canceled order, but the manager has not returned my calls or responded to my refund requests. Here’s a timeline of events: April 9 at 9:33 AM: I placed an online order. Order #352992790 - $98.99 Party Box. April 9 at 6:54 PM: I canceled the order by phone, and an employee took my information and contact number. April 10 at 9:24 AM: I called to confirm the cancellation.
